Hi-

Seems their is a problem on the main board itself, thus the message go over and over when you turn tv on? Try checking the power button for physical damage.

Keep us posted, thanks!

This can be a bad bulb already and some other bad components inside this TV, you can bring this to a repair center near you or contact Magnavox for some help about the repair 1-800-705-2000

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi. i believe this to be either of these three problems.
1. Power: it could be that there is a problem with the power electronic element(s). the solution is to go see an engineer.
2. Screen: if the television uses LCD display, it could be a problem with the liquid in it. Solution is to see an engineer.
3. Sleep mode: the TV could be in sleep mode which makes the screen go blank until removed from sleep mode. Solution is to read the TV's users manual to see how to wake a sleeping TV. Get back.

Magnavox model 51mp6100/37, the power light comes on but no picture or sound. a strange niose comes from the back panel

If its a chirping sound the convergence chips are shorted. I learned this the hard way.

I have a philips magnavox and had two problems that I recently fixed using kits from www.TvRepairKits.com. I can't say enough about their kits and help. Without them I would have never been able to fix my TV set myself.

The first problem I had was the TV was looking 3D. After doing some homework I found out that this is a convergence problem. I bought a kit, followed the instructions, and to my amazement fixed it myself.

After building my confidence with the 1st repair I decided to get their CRT fluid kit. This kit fixes the dull video, red video, or bright/halo looking video. If you have a magmavox set that is more than 5 years old your tv has this problem already. It happens on every set. As before I bought the kit, followed the instructions, and now my video looks factory new. Once again I wanted to say thanks to the team at Tv Repair Kits for putting together kits that the average joe can use.

If you can find the model number (probably located on the back of the TV) you can go to the magnavox website at www.support.magnavox.com and search for your model number. They have troubleshooting tips and tricks for a lot of common problems. You may need to speak with a representative directly to help solve your specific problem. After you find your model on the website, you can download the user manual from the left panel, which may help as well.

Magnavox big screen will not power on button blinks but wont turn on

Need model number really, but sounds like a bad SSB module(small signal board). It would have to be replaced and depending on the model they can be expensive.
