It is very easy, there are 4 screws on the bottom, after you open it you will see 8-10 smaller screws. Take them all out with the phone face down, pull the board out, the screen, the buttons (remember where they go!) and put in your new housing. Do the above in reverse and your done!

Hello,

Turn off your mobile phone, first step is to remove the battery cover, battery and sim card.

Turn the phone over and remove the front cover. It just pull off and can go ahead to replace the casing or housing.

Partner controller will not hold programming if power is removed.

The battery your looking for is soldered on to the main board. the processor comes apart by releasing the tabs that encircle the processor cover (there a rectangle shaped hole with an arrow next to it)

I want to install a phone jack where the old phone is direct wired but I don't know how to get the phone apart to disconnect the wires. It is an old black rotary phone that hangs on the wall.

Hello,
Look for screws on the bottom of the phone. Unscrew them. The top shell cover (excluding the dial) should be pulled up. Loosen the screws that hold the wires attached. To reconnect match wire colors.
Hoe it helps.

Microphone on the house phone

chances are that the wire for the microphone has broken from the circuit board. you will have to open the phone(probably by removing battery cover and a couple of screws and re solder the broken wire.its not really a difficult job,but you may lose any stored numbers if the battery is removed for too long. good luck

Main line has gone dead throughout our house 619-443-1066. We must have the line working as to medical assistance that is necessary for 2 members in our home.

hi,

outside somewhere on your house is a grey telephone box, open it up with a screwdriver and look inside. your looking for a phone jack, this is where you plug a spare phone in to diagnose wether the problem is inside or outside. the phone jack may already have a small phone jack plug plugged into it, this goes to your house. unplug that and swing it out of the way. use a spare phone and plug it in there. If you plug the phone in and you dont hear a dial tone use your cell phone to call the phone company and tell them what you just did and your problem is outside. If you do hear a dial tone your problem is from the box to the house and for right now you can use an extension cord to run it inside untill you find where your problem is. When you have time you can start troubleshooting by plugging that house plug back into the grey box and unplugging ALL phones and equiptment and start checking every jack in the house to see if you have any dial tone, if you dont have a dial tone anywhere and when you call your phone line its busy that could mean you have a short, if it rings off the hook then you have a broken line, the wire colors in question are RED and GREEN and line 2 are usually yellow and brown or another color, and all of these cant touch or be crossed or you will have a shorted line. If you have kids you might want to check their room to see if theyve been playing around with the jack or jacks , a visual inspection with a magnifying glass and a flashlight into the jacks should show no metal contacts bent or overlapping. taking the covers off the jacks should see those wire colors securely wrapped around the designated wire bolt posts. If you need more assistance write me back
good luck

Water damage. spilled a cup of coffee on my i phone

remove the battery,
take the phone apart, dry the phone, includeing all internal parts that are wet.
(really take the phone apart the cover off and all parts that are removeable)

Might get it to work again, just might.

other than that, get the phone repaired or replaced.

Mic not working.

It worked well for me too! Thanks Fixya.com!! I was told I had to buy a new phone because the microphone went back. Took the receiver apart (4 screws in back of handset and 2 that held the board in place), cleaned mic with alcohol and a q-tip, and removed the rubber piece that kept the mic clean (inside of the housing), and presto, it worked just fine. The ribbon cable came loose upon opening up inside of phone, but I stuck it back inside the top of base and I was ready to go.
