You probably have a short or open in the power supply.

You can try unplugging the unit for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.

personally i would call a tv repairman out to fix the set.you can get alot of different opinions on here about what it may or may not be but the best thing to do is call a repaiman and let them fix it

Rear projection hdtv, most likely damaged tubes. Don't repair this by your self get a tv repair man to do it before you injure your self.

Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.

My TV pictures turns black afetr a few hours but I still can hear sound perfectly!!!


It sounds like your rptv lamp is going out. If this is an older DLP this is most likely the cause. You can get a replacement at www.laptopsforless.com part number BP96-00224J for $151. If the tv is still under warranty, I would have them do it, otherwise replace it yourself. If so here is a link to give you step by step instruction. Please give me a good rating. ;-)

TV turns on with no picture or sound


atechnichian advised me that when that happens it means that one of the projection tubes overheated from leaving the tv on too long and leaked on to a pc board he said the tv is not worth fixing
