Whirpool MH115XMQ-1 I have a Whirpool and recently it stopped working. The light in the microwave stays on at all times and the touch panel works but the turntable is not moving. The microwave makes no sound at all and it seems like its not even turning on, but the light is on at all times. Thank you for your time.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or occasionally a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. Other times, it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There may also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you think the problem is on the control panel, we repair these nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in most cases.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Microwave oven whirpool model mt1100shq,it was workinh fine suddenly stopped and no power coming to it

Check the mains power to the microwave before you check for power to the unit. If the program controller is not working , check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean, solder and reset the board. Now identify the parts by clicking this link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/141/identifying-microwave-parts.html

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. Check this link to know how a microwave works:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1443/how-a-microwave-oven-works.html

So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had deposited
then it must be checked or replaced. See link:

I have chefmate microwave and suddenly stopped working. it is showing 2:50 code on the screen only...it was working fine and dont know what happened to it and touch pad is not working..how do i make it...

HELLO.

The code on the screen indicate electric panel fault resulting from the touchpad malfunction.

The touch pad on your microwave oven acts as the brain of the appliance. It not only contains the buttons that you use to enter cooking settings and times, but also controls the function of the entire microwave. If the touch pad malfunctions or breaks completely, the microwave will cease to function. In this instance, the broken touch pad must be removed and a new touch pad must be installed, to restore functionality to the microwave.

1 Unplug the microwave from the wall outlet.
2 Remove the two screws, located on the front or top of the grill at the top of the microwave.
3 Pull the grill off of the microwave.
4 Remove the mounting screw from the top of the control panel.
5 Lift the control panel up and out to loosen. Look behind the control panel to ensure there are no metal tabs securing the control panel in place. If there are metal tabs, gently rotate the control panel to free the tabs.
6 Transfer the wires from the old control panel to the new control panel one at a time to ensure that the wires are properly installed.
7 Install the new control panel into the microwave and secure using the mounting screw that was removed.
8 Replace the grill from the top of the microwave and secure it using the screws that were removed.
9 Plug the microwave back into the wall outlet.
Thanks.

My whirpool oven is working but does not seem to be heating as it should I wonder if the fan is not working

magnetron do get week over time even more so if you do a lot of short time food reheat, the fan normally is used to cool the magnetron wave guide and if it stops working the over temp safety will trip and stop the magnetron from working

My microwave panel is not working.

Sometimes if the door switches are faulty then the touch panel may not respond. There are usually 3 switches, and I'd recommend if one if faulty replacing all of them as a set. Otherwise it may be a Control Panel fault.

Tricky touch pad on Sharp R530 es microwave oven

There are two options here:

1. Order a new control panel frame which has the keypad, trim piece and door button already installed and swap your control boards into it.

The original part number FPNLCB346MRK0 has been replaced by part # FPNLCB346MRK0B and it runs $58.28 plus shipping.

2. Disassemble your control panel frame, peel off the old keypad and stick a new one on.

Even though the keypad alone runs only $35.66, this job takes a lot of time and labor.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace just the keypad yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

Whichever option you choose, we have the service manual for this model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

You will need the
free Acrobat Reader to view or print it in case you don't have it already.

Whirpool microwave MH1150XMB-1 fan is on when heating

yes , that is how it works. fan cools the magnetron so it run the same time it is heating. you have to look at the fan why it is very noisy, it could have been touching some wires or the bushings may need lubrication. you have to bring it down again, remove the fan and bench test it . lubricate the bushings if necessary.

tnx 4 using fixya,
