Does the 1gb digital media player have a memory card slot to upgrade to more memory model SMPV-1GBS

to download music to computer, use LIMEWIRE PRO then transfer those music that you have downloaded into memory card like USB/SD/Micro SD card which ever can support to your digital media player. Hope it helps thanks.

So basically you need to look for just one slot, and you have to use one of those memory formats, If your using something else then it wouldn't work, You'll need a USB adapter that will read your type of media, The slot looks like its on the front edge of the laptop. It'll be a pretty small slot across the front, about where your left thumb would be. Its possible you have a model that didnt have one. The RAM would help the machine run more smoothly and a little quicker. But this is only for certain softwares like photoshop, that require heavy memory.

my guess is your running too much memory for that model, i think it can only handle up to 1gb, or you have a bad memory module

How much memory did it have before you removed the 256Mb RAM?
If it had 756Mb RAM then the memory in the laptop has 512 Mb plus 256 Mb RAM modules, the 256Mb in the slot you can see and possibly 512Mb in a slot under the keyboard or soldered on the motherboard.
Therefore by removing the 256Mb and replacing with 1Gb memory module will give you a total of 1.5Gb

You can add more storage memory for your device by using microSD cards. You can plug the microSD card into the slot provided on the player and then store your files on the card. If you had a 1GB player and added a 1GB card you've effectively doubled your memory. That's probably the memory upgrade you're thinking about.
