Water coming out of front of unit, thru vents leaking on floor

Darlene, if this is a window or thru the wall unit, the leaking is usually caused by two things:

1. The drain pan under the unit has a drain hole (in the rear outside part of the unit) that is clogged.
2. The AC unit is not tilted down at the rear 1/4" to 1/2", so that water will drain to the outside drain hole.

Be prudent when you look for the drain hole in the drain pan. As the clog can blend in with the drain hole, making it difficult to see.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

My amcor is leaking water!

Please be a little more specific because Air Comditioners do in fact collect moisture from the air. This water collects in the drain pan and drained ouined off outside. If the leak is inside, the unit is not tilted to direct the water towards the drain hole.or the drin itself is plugged .Check and let me know if the problem still exists. :-) Ned

Where is the drain hole on goldstar window ac my ac keeps dripping water inside the house

Hello, make sure the unit is tilted toward the outside a bit, if it is level the condensate will collect in the front and start dripping inside the house. Also, if the unit has a drain make sure it is clean so the water can drain out properly.

I have a travel trailer with a coleman 7300 roof top ac unit. the unit will blow cold air but water leaks thru the plenum. i was told by the previous owner that it needs a new seal. i would like to fix it...

If it's leaking inside where filter cover is, then real good chance the drains being plugged is the only problem. If water (condensation) not running off roof when operating in cool mode, then I'd bet drains, which are located under unit on roof, and you should see them sticking down like buttons. They have a hole in side that needs cleaning with a pipe cleaner or similar to open them up. If need be, shut off power to unit and remove top cover on roof unit and look for the drain holes in base, and clean them out. If water comes in while raining, but AC not running, then it's gasket. That is remedied by removing ceiling assembly (just screws) and 4 bolts that pull/hold the upper and lower assemblies together, unplug wiring to upper unit, and simply lift it off, change gasket and re-install. Tighten those 4 bolts equally when gasket is aligned properly over hole, only until gasket is approx 1/2, original thickness. Plug harness back in and your done. (about an hours work.) Only other thing that may be wrong is styrofoam drip tray for cooling unit, under cover on roof may have a crack , allowing condensation to leak in. If that 's the case, you can try to find a sealant compatible with styrofoam to seal those cracks.

Model: KFR-32GW/Ac Will not stop leaking water from the front of the unit. Coils have no ice. Shut off unit for 30 min the leaking stops but resumes when AC is turned back on.

Possible one of two problems. first make sure the unit is tilted away from the inside slightly. Second there are very small drains that let water flow from the front coil to the rear of the ac if the unit has been dirty it can plug these holes. You can find the holes by pulling the ac out or just remove it and use a hose to clean it. You can buy coil cleaner at a hardware store just follow the directions.

My ac throws water back into the house when running to long, water builds and does not leak out of unit,do i need to drill a hole on the bottom of unit and if so where is compressor so i dont puncture it.

sounds like your condensate drain is stopping up or not draining properly. I would check and make sure the unit's drain is open and water is draining.

Also it's possible that the AC itself needs to be tilted (just slightly back in order for the water to drain better. Sometimes people will make sure the unit is installed perfectly level for cosmetic purposes not realizing that the water needs to drain out the back of the AC.

good luck!

Water leaking from Maytag M6T12F2A is this expensive to repair

The drain hole is likely clogged with lent and trash. Make sure it is level or leaning dow a bit on the back side. I had to drill five holes in the bottom rear of my old window unit to stop water draining down the insdie wall. Make sure you dont drill into a usefull component of the AC or kiss it goodbye.

Have a ge ac in window unit asto5 model leaks inside just recently . connot find any plug to pull for draining outside excess water inside ac cabnit . does it have one? been running this ac all summer and...

No drain plug but this model should have a SLINGER RING AROUND the end of the fan blades which picks up the water & sling it on the back coil which it is so hot & evaporates to help get rid of excess water .. So as for the water running inside, the drain channel are plugging up, from the front coil to the back, & only need to add clorox bleach to the front coil area for now , to kill the slime or mold slowly blocking the channels..But first, TURN_OFF UNIT! (certain times of the year, mold & slime grows rapidily and thats what the bleach for..!
