I think it is a sensor issue, as well as a setting issue. My friend works at the drugstore and they used to have a photo department. She has the same camera as I. I took the camera to her to have her troubleshoot it. She said that she would contact this camera tech fellow she deals with all the time and send the camera to him. She did, he is not responding to telephone calls nor to emails. Either he is on vacation for over a month or has stolen the camera, or both. However, who ignores emails for over a month?

I have managed to find a replacement for this camera on ebay. Which if it is a sensor issue on the original, would have cost as much to repair as the price of the new camera.

Its a shutter and capacitor to be cured problem, if movies taken do not have horizontal lines. Recharging battery may fix it or alkaline batteries may lighten lines. Black lines are noises maybe from shutter opening. Use camera more often with bigger batteries may fix it in time.

Printed page gets horizontal lines

you may need a new camera, digital cameras with the iris not functioning properly will have lines horizontally across them.
Not always noticeable until larger photos are viewed or printed.
Or you may need a new printer.

When i take a photo ,the image has horizontal line across it ...? what's should i do .is it lens problem ?

The fact that it takes the pictures ok confirms that it's not the ccd which has failed. A CCD problem would explain the lines on your pictures and the lines on the LCD (since the CCD is used to feed the live image). CCD (Charge Coupled Device) is one of the two main types of image sensors used in digital cameras.

Some symptoms of a defective CCD include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details: Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

Samsung themselves wouldn't normally bother; a warranty claim usually means they chuck your camera away and send you a replacement. If you're in the UK click here for details of how to proceed with Samsung.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

Can't repair by yourself.
It's need repair camera machine shutter.

PowerShot A85 capture fault

Yup, it is a common problem. The shutter is jammed. I bet outside pictures are really overexposed. The horizontal lines are caused by the electronic noise created by the shutter solenoid trying to move the shutter. If the cameraq is no longer under warranty- Sometimes, you can free up the shutter by banging the camera in a hard surface like a desk or table. (Do this carefully, don't get carried away) If this doesn't work, you will need to replace the whole lens unit. this is best if the warranty is still good.
