My printer/copyer/scaner well not print i just buy new ink i have paper it keeps saying E what is wrong

What Model of All in One do you have? Make sure that your Printer INK is secure and seated properly in the holders, Make sure the Cover is properly Closed, then if you have a reset option in your menu reset the printer to factory defaults.
Otherwise, unplug it, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in. This time gives the memory and capacitors time to drain completly from power and anyting it remembers will be lost.
If that doesn't work, please forward the model info and we can try something different...//D

Please check the cartridges.Re install the cartridges properly and try.

My printer HP laserjet 2600n is printing light colors and is also printing dark lines in both sides of the paper. It seems to do it in the back too but lightly. I already did the cleaning process and ...

Hai nancy,first you check all the print cartiges for leaky & scratches if it is leaky or scratches the lines will comes on your printing second one for light printing this probem comes from ldirty laser scaner , call any printer engineer & say to clean the laser scaner your problem will be resolved 100%.
one more thing check the fuser also for damaged of teflon it may be the region for dark line in printing.

Also check the ETB *** situated in front door .

MP160 canon printer. Flashes "E" then "4" then "2" on screen. The "alarm" light is flashing too. No paper jammed. powered on/off. Reinserted ink cartridges. Problem remains. Thank you. From Mel

This error means that you have scaner trouble, most likely the scaner is stucked, or the main logic pcb is faulty.
Try to remove copy glass and manually walk the scaner few times and put him in left position, grease it.
If doesnt help, the best way is to buy new printer.Logic board is too expensive for repair.

The ink needs refilling but i just want to scan something to put on my computer why wont it ley me its a kodak scaner copyer printer

My HP C7180 will not print the self test diagnostic page the screen on the product says ''paper mismatch'' paper size or type is incorrect,change paper and press OK. when I do the machine shuts down then...

Your cartridges have chips on them and a date i think. So, my guess is, that the printer is alarming you that the "ink expiration is near", because soon, the chip will not allow you to print anything, so you will have to buy new ones.
The only reset method I know is used for "ink system failure" (Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turn the printer off. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and then turn it back on. You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate). But you need to have new cartridges for that.

Okay, we are moving into either print head failure (service call) or media.

Please make sure that you have used the tools provided by the vendor of the printer to align the print heads.

Now, make absolutely certain you are using the correct paper. If you are not using paper made for an ink jet type printer you can get into real problems.

Ink jet paper is made to absorb the printer's ink into its fibers. Laser printer paper is made to hold a static electric charge until the toner is attracted to the paper. Then a laser printer's fuser uses heat and pressure to melt the toner and press it into place on top of the paper. Very different paper designs.

One other question for you. When you say the color is bad, are you saying the color is runny, blurred or the wrong color? For example a dark blue shows up as a purple. Can you define exactly what type of print failure you are looking at, please

Printer doesn't print even with new ink cartridges.

Remember to remove the Seal Tape from the Top of the New Ink Cartridge as well as from the Bottom ! !

If a “Head Cleaning” cycle makes the Test Pattern worse, STOP.

Disconnect the Printer from the Computer.

Press the “Cartridge Change” button for ~ 3 Seconds.

When the Ink Cartridge Carriage travels to the Changing Position PULL THE POWER PLUG (NOT the “OFF” Switch). The Ink Cartridge Carriage should now Slide Freely on the Rail as long as it isn’t pushed to the Right so that it goes under the shelf to the “Homed and Locked” Position.

Fold up a Paper Towel (About 1 Sheet) so that its final width is about the same as the width of the gutter under the Print Head on the Carriage and so that it is thick enough when folded to contact and lightly press on the Print Head.

Saturate the folded Paper Towel with ~ 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and lay it in the Gutter.

Manually slide the Carriage and Print Head Over the wet Paper Towel. A slight amount of drag should be experienced if the thickness of the paper towel folds is Correct.

Let the Print Heads rest on the Saturated Paper Towels for a few Minutes or Hours. Too long a Treatment may pull out all of the Cartridge’s Ink: Check the Paper Towel Frequently to Assess if Ink is Capillarying out onto the Towel.

When the Treatment appears Successful remove the Paper Towel and Clean Up and plug the Printer power back in.

Run a Test Pattern via the Computer Connection WITHOUT first running the Head Cleaning Utility.

If the pattern isn’t OK, Try Running the Head Cleaning Utility to see if it makes it Better or Worse.

If Worse, Repeat the Alcohol Paper Towel Treatment: The Paper Towel may be Gently Pulled back and forth under the Print Heads to wipe them off.
