Question about SanDisk Sansa Connect MP3 Player

1 Answer

Making playlists I can't figure out how to make playlists. I don't have yahoo music, because they aren't taking new subscribers, yahoo sold it's music business to rhapsody, and rhapsody doesn't have the same services for the sansa connect that yahoo did. Anyways, the owners manual says that playlists are made using yahoo music jukebox. Can I make playlists using WMP11 or napster? Thanks y'all!!

Yes you can create playlist using WMP11...
To create playlist using WMP

  1. 1. Click the Library tab. If you need to clear the List pane before beginning to create your playlist, click the Clear List pane button making playlists - playing_i_clearlistpanebtn.gif.
  2. Drag items from the Details pane to the List pane to add them to the new playlist.
To select multiple adjacent items, press and hold the SHIFT key while selecting. To select nonadjacent items, press and hold the CTRL key while selecting.
  3. To rearrange items, drag them up or down in the List pane.
  4. To save the list, click Save Playlist at the bottom of the List pane, and then type a name for the playlist.
By default, playlists are saved with a .wpl extension in the Playlists folder, which is usually located in the Music folder. You can also save playlists with the .m3u or .asx extension. To do so, click the List button at the top of the List pane, click Save Playlist As, and then change the extension in the Save As dialog box. Once you save the playlist, it's added to the Playlists category in the library.
To play the playlist in the List pane, click the Play button .
  5. To access the playlist in the future, click the Playlists view in the Navigation pane.
I hope that helps

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} • In order to import music into your iPod. All you need to do is:

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} •Then from the iTunes menu bar, click on File>New Playlist in order to create a new playlist.

You will see a new "untitled playlist" Folder, on the right side bar in the iTunes window. Name that folder as you see fit.

Now take all of your music that you want to add to the new playlist, from the iTunes Library and drag all those songs into the playlist.

* From here, you will need make sure your iPod is connected to your computer and that the device is showing up in iTunes.

Once you see the iPod connected, go into its settings and select the Music tab, make sure to activate the Playlists and select that new playlist from the list of playlists you see.
(Make sure if you have other playlists in that list you want to add, be sure to check off those boxes too)

* Finally when you have selected that playlist (and all your desired playlists) that you want to import into your iPod:

* Proceed to sync your iPod

* Once the sync process is completed, you should see the playlist you made with your desired songs from your iTunes Library, now on your iPod Nano.

I hope this helps.

Make a new playlist?

To create an M3U playlist On your PC, create a new empty .txt document using word pad, type nothing but save the file as a .txt. go in to my computer -->> explore and find the file and rename the .txt document so it has an m3u file extension (example: my_list.m3u). Open the m3u file with wordpad, notepad, or a text editor. In the first line at top of the page type #EXTM3U. After the first line, start listing your music files, copy and paste the song names , (with extension ie .mp3). One music file name each line. Exit the text editor and save the m3u file once you are finished. Drag and drop the M3U playlist to the player's MUSIC folder, your done.

I cannot figure out how to make playlists and store them on my Sony mp3 player. I have workout music and study music and I cannot figure out how to make them so I can listen to the playlists separately.

The easiest way (though tedious when you start) I found was to just sync all my music, etc. through Window Media Player, then open the Walkman in Windows Explorer. Open the music folder and create a file for the music you want on the playlist. Copy all the songs you want the select the songs in the file, right click and create a playlist. Double-click on the playlist and put them in the order you want them. Click OK. Whan you disconnect the walkman, your playlist will be there. This is the only way I have found to actually have my playlist show up in the Playlist feature on my Walkman in the order I want the songs.

PLaylists?

This was designed for playlist transfer via Yahoo Music engine (see user's manual) or Windows Media Player 9. Any other method is not guaranteed to work. Did you get an error message when you tried to sync the playlist?

Playlist creation

well u don't have to use a program for putting music on to ur mp3 player it works like a flash drive so if u go to my computer and go into the device u can put music on like that and then put wat music u want in a playlist into it's own folder and right click it then click create playlist and just to make sure u have the songs in the right order double click the playlist icon and re-arrange as u want. BUT DON"T DELETE THE FOLDER! i have done that a couple of times, when u delete the folder it, the playlist is gone. anyways hope that helps u but if it doesn't email me at ibrygy@yahoo.com
