Photo Default Info.

I accidently changed my photo default from Adobe to Windows Photo Gallery and cannot figure out how to change it back to Adobe. I have Adobe Photoshop 3.2 and am Adobe Reader 8.0 and am using a Toshiba Satellite A215-S6816 laptop with Windows Vista.

Find a picture using my computer and move the mouse over to it. Right click on the properties. There should be a description of what program it opens with with a button to the right side of it to change the program. Press that button and change it to photoshop enable all default options on the dialog window as well.

This is a known issue. If you right click the icon for windows live gallery, and select "run as administrator" everything will work fine.

Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and windows 7 (x64) Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and windows 7 (x64) Hi everybody. I am trying to install Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 on Windows 7 (x64) but I am not able. I tried to follow...

I do not believe this is possible. Adobe now makes 64 bit only programs since coming out with Creative Suite 4 and Photoshop. If you have 7 Professional or better, you can download Microsoft Virtual Machine and Virtual XP SP3 machine free (Microsoft.com) and install Photo Deluxe in the virtual machine.
VirtualBox is another free one.

Adriangent@aol.comHi, I cannot open my files, photos, zipped files or pdf file that I have on my desk top, every tries to open in photo gallery for some reason ! I am running windows vista. Adrian.

Well, first I would try using the built-in utility as seen here.
http://ask-leo.com/where_did_file_associations_go_in_windows_vista.html
If that doesn't work, you will need to modify the registry. Be careful doing this!
1. Click Start Menu, and then type regedit in the Start Search and press ENTER.
2. Navigate to the following registry branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurre ntVersionExplorerFileExts[ext]
Replace the [exe] with the actual file extension that you want to restore its file type association to revert back to original Windows Vista default. If you unsure, simply browse through all the sub-key under FileExts.
3. Delete the sub-key named UserChoice.
4. Exit from Registry Editor

If this helps, please rate this answer.

Fix error code 0x80010108 windows 7

Is this only a problem when you try to view your pictures with Windows Live Photo Gallery?
If so, then it is best for you to post in the Windows Live Help for Photo Gallery.
They have experts there that deal only with Windows Live Products.

When I try to adjust the adjust the exposure, color, or even crop a photo, I get the following: Changes of this photo can't be saved because Photo Gallery has experienced a problem Error code:...

Hi Brian,

It's unlikely to be this, but check that you have enough hard-disk space first.

Assuming that's OK, you can UNDO Windows Updates. Go to Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features. In the left hand column there is an option for "View installed updates". Click on this and you will see a list of previously installed Windows updates. Using the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON, click on the update that caused your problem and you will see the option to uninstall.

That should solve your problem. I would also change your Windows Update preference to "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them". If you don't you will receive the same update again next time Windows Update runs.

Regards,
BElectric

If your problem has been solved, please be generous and award this solution 4 thumbs-up. This service has been provided FREE - your simple acknowledgement is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a new Acer One D260 netbook. It was working OK for 2 weeks when all of a sudden the icons on my desktop changed to Windows Photo viewer. When I click on the icon to open , the info I receive is:...

Hi
Go to My computer in file Menu select Tools>folder option >view
Uncheck the Hide file extension for known format and Hide protected operating system files.

Now go to desktop you can see the file with the extension, change your file extension with your known format.

Ex: ss.jpg

if this a document file than change it to ss.doc
like that

I can't load new pics onto Windows Vista Photo Gallery anymore...

I finally figured it out. Somehow I had messed with the Autoplay settings uploading pics the last time I guess. Anyways, if you experience this problem, check this out first and see if it fixes it for you before you do anything else:

gl_arrow_down_static.gif What if the import dialog box doesn't appear? If the dialog box prompting you to import your pictures doesn't appear when you connect the camera to your computer, AutoPlay might be turned off. You can import your pictures using Windows Photo Gallery instead. Here's how:
1. Open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking the Start button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.
2. On the toolbar, click File, and then click Import from Camera or Scanner.
3. In the Import Pictures and Videos dialog box, choose your camera from the list of devices, and then click Import.
gl_alert_vert.png gl_icon_tip.png If you prefer, you can turn on AutoPlay or set AutoPlay to automatically import pictures from a digital camera. For more information, see Change AutoPlay Settings. gl_alert_vert.png gl_alert_bg_tip.png
