If you have never done it before, better not try.
The lens is a very precise set of lenses, all adjusted to the exact distance at the factory.
Taking apart such a lens will more than likely cause more problems than you can imagine. First off, you need special wrenches in able to remove the retainers for each lens.

Best left to a professional.
Possibly you could sell the lens on someplace such as Ebay and find youself a good one like it at a pretty good price.

My pl1 camera has blurred pictures but when lens taken out, its ok.

Are you using an auto-focus m4/3 lens? I have about 20 lenses for this camera and only 1 of them is an auto-focus m4/3 lens. I have an adapter so I can use my 4/3 lenses on it in auto-focus mode along with other various mounts (including cctv) that do not support auto-focus. So if you are using a non-auto-focus lens, you will need to manually focus the pictures.
If you are certain it is an auto-focus lens, are you sure you have it set to auto-focus?
What settings do you have your camera set to (aperature mostly is what I'd like to know)? Try adjusting your aperature to be small (to increase your DOF).
Also what lens are you using and what is your focal distance? It could be your lens has a larger or shallower focal distance than what you are trying to achieve (like a macro lens doesn't work that great for landscape photography or a telephoto lens doesn't work great for macro photography).
Last thought: is your lens or sensor dirty? A dirty lens can cause focusing issues if it is REALLY dirty and a dirty sensor can too (sensor is a bigger pain to clean. I strongly recommend taking it to the pros as they scratch really easily). Dirty lenses can be cleaned with a blower and a lint free cloth and rubbing alcohol if those 2 things don't clear it out.

When turning on the camera the lense comes out and then goes right back in. New battery and memory card

Hi! Try putting your camera down on flat surface with lens facing up. Look at the outer ring of your lens and locate the small round lens located at 11 o'clock. Clean this with a que tip and see if solves your problem. This little lens works with cameras auto focus and if dirty will cause your problem. Good luck!

In 1985 I bought a Chinon camera with a Vivitar 70-210mm Macro Zoom lens and a Seikanon 28-100mm Auto Macro zoom lens. The camera body got smashed and I like to buy a new digital camera body that these...

Hi Sherry. Chinon cameras used the Pentax K mount, so you can choose from Pentax and Ricoh models, mainly. There are also a few Miranda bodies knocking around (a budget own-brand badge used by the Dixons Store Group in the UK) but ignore them unless free.

With a little patience and a polite rquest, you should be able to get a free replacement 35mm body from one of your local FreeCycle or Freegle groups. I've had plenty of complete Nikon and Canon outfits from there but Olympus, Minolta and Pentax are more scarce, but if you are prepared to be flexible you can end up with a good complete Canon FD mount (manual focus) outfit, complete with excellent lenses (useless on later AF Canons) for zilch. It's usually worth investing in a one-off foam light seal replacement and CLA (clean, lubricate, adjust) service though to ensure that these almost bulletproof cameras continue to give long service.

If you wish to upgrade to digital, then current Pentax K models *might* accept your lenses as the physical mount has not changed, but there will be no communication of information between the lens and body and auto-stop down of the aperture will not work. The doubt regarding fit is that the rear elements of your non-Pentax lenses might interfere with the operation of the SLR mirror at certain focal length and focus combinations so you'd need to ask if you can try your lenses on the new body before buying. Finally, the image sensor is smaller than on your 35mm Chinon, so the images will appear to be cropped. The effect is as if you have a 1.5x teleconverter fitted so your 70-210 will seem like a 105-315 and your 28-100 will seem like a 32-150mm lens. Apertures will remain unaffected though.

In short, if you really do wish to continue to use your present lenses then you would be far better sticking with 35mm SLR K-mount bodies.

I hope that I have been of assistance and that you take a moment to rate my reply.

Can this lens fit an olympus C 5060 ?

No, it will not. The C-5060 does not use interchangable lenses. I cannot tell from the picture that you have attached what cameras this will fit. It it was, in fact made by Olympus, it would appear to belong to their line of 35mm film cameras.

You can use the lens from your old OM camera on the EVOLT E-410. You would need to purchase an MF-OM-1 adapter to make those lenses fit the new digital SLR camera. Also when using those lenses the camera would need to be used in Manual mode as there is no auto focus capability when using the old OM lenses.

How to use a manual zoom lens with Evolt 510

By manual zoom lens I am assuming you mean a film camera lens. If it is one of our OM 1 or 2 lenses they can be used on our Olympus digital SLR camera but you will need to purchase an MF-OM1 converter to be able to adapt those lenses to fit on our digital SLR camera. Then you will only be able to shoot using those lens in manual focus mode. Auto focus mode will not be available.

Lens Compatibility - Digital / Film

Hey savmoney,
Your current OM lenses are not directly compatible with the current four thirds mount used on Olympus DSLR's, but there is an OM four thirds adapter which should allow you to mount your older lenses to a new Olympus DSLR. You should have limited functionality while using the adapter, but according to the manufacturer aperture priority should work and full manual. I have included a link to a chart that shows which OM lenses are supported by this adapter. I hope this helps!

Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!
