look for a Canon eos 300D battery door (they are the same camera just came out in different countries) or buy of ebay a cheap broken 300D and salvage the parts that way.

Chances are you may need to order this battery online, but we need the model of the camera, or at least the battery number to find it for you...
well the batteries model number is TS-BL04M and i cant seem to really match the battery with anything without looking at it exactly but to buy a replacement battery from transcend it costs about 54.99$usd total. Which seems like it will cost more then the thing is worth but. What i can recommend you to do is to go to a local battery store like batteries plus. i think this NP -40 battery is universal and sony doesnt make it they get it from Fuji or casio or other company's pls see the shape and confirm i think it is std u can find cheap everywhere on net
I have the same problem. My research suggests that a battery for the Konica Minolta NP-900 may do the trick. The dimensions and configuration look the same as that for the Hitachi HDC-531E.
I've ordered a cheap one from Hong Kong and will let you know whether it works once I've tried it out, Fingures crossed!
