Lines on tv screen

Tonight a blue vertical line appeared on my tv screen about 6" from the left, and a black horizontal line appeared about 4" from the top. The tv is only 6 weeks old. What is this problem? Blue/Red line right in the middle of the screen.. almost from top to bottom..

Both sound like bad LCD panels. The following must be answered to confirm this:
Do the lines appear on all inputs/all signal sources?
Can they be seen in the OSD/menu?
If yes to both questions, it is likely that the LCD panel is bad

All plasma an lcd tvs have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables.

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

Horizontal white lines 27A43.

You have some bad capacitors. They are located very near and next to your vertical IC. I would guess you would have to replace maybe four of these! Thanks for asking!
