posted by lisad03 on Jul 19, 2008

I have a viewsonic lcd 19 in monitor that just went out of warranty and died 4 days ago.
the green light does not come on, it is dead, is it the power supply? we have tried plugging into different power supplies and nothing, can it be replaced or is it worth it?
I have the same problem.

My 19" viewsonic monitor has died as well.  Same symptoms as above.  Press the power 'on' button and nothing (absolutely nothing) happens.  Is it worth trying to get fixed or better to buy a new monitor (not viewsonic).

If the power supply is not wqrking then it is the invertor unit that has dies.
Replace the monitor is the best advice- If it that recent out of warranty may be worth contacting 'viewsonic to see if they will discount you one.
