I bought a Samsung 22" LCD HDTV as a Xmas gift for a friend. Unfortunately It was not used until 3 weeks after Xmas. My friend did not have cable (Comcast) at the time and simply used it to watch movies via her DVD player. After watching a movie for a half hour or hour, the picture flashes white (almost like lightening) for a split second. It does this intermittently while the movie is running. I was really hoping that it was the HDMI connection from the DVD player. She just got Comcast installed yesterday (cable connected directly to the tv) and to my disappointment, the white "lightening" flashes are still happening. What is causing this? What are my options? Please help. It's got less than 10 hrs of use on it.

This tv have problems with it tv Tuner signal board.That the board,where it take the incomming broadcasting signal cable and external devices inputs into it.Tv is still less than a year old,call for Samsung for a warrenty repair.Out of warrenty,tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbuish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.

I am a Samsung certified Tech, they do have problems but when the LCD screen was replaced and the main board, they sould have replaced the FR board also

Hi I deal with Samsung everyday. Can you not go back to the store where you bought it. their customer service team should be able to push a bit more clarification from Samsung. Also a lot of stores will have a policy where if the unit is away for repair for more than x amount of days/weeks the customer is entitled to a new prduct. Worth a shot!

Vertical line on LCD TV Panel

Had this same issue on right side of 52" about 1 inch from side but had 3 vertical lines that disappeared after 40 minutes. Have Samsung LNT5265FX/XXA and about 16 months old. LCD Panel itself had to be replaced to fix it, fortunately had extended service plan

the Svideo, not Saudio, will have to be selected in the tv's input menu, but Svideo won't give audio, you will have to connect audio leads to the TV and to the sat box or whatever you are using for your programmes

In the Bluetooth Settings menu, go to "Stereo Headset" option, and see if you have any luck - make sure the headphones are connected to the Samsung, since the Samsung uses the headphones as antenna to get any kind of station reception.
