Hi friends i have problem can anyon tell me pls.

Try hooking up a USB Keyboard to it and see if the letters appear then. It could be the keyboard on the netbook its self and it isn't typing characters therefore telling you the password is incorrect. External USB Keyboard , try that.

Does lenoveG465 comes with user account number and administrative password already in it

Hi,

I work for Lenovo and I am very much familiar with our computers. These computers did not come with an Administrator user name or password. Upon setup you are given the chance to, whether or not, put a password in the computer. Not unless you purchased this second hand from a previous user and not originally from the manufacturer or a retail store. Now, if you really did not set it up or can't remember what it is, then, you need to set the computer back to it's factory state. That is the only way to get into your computer. To do this, follow the steps below.
  1. Turn the computer off.
  2. Remove the battery and ac adapter from the computer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  4. Put battery and ac adapter back in.
  5. Look for the One Key Recovery button on the computer and press that button while the computer is off. It can either be pressed by your fingers, or with a paper clip. It's somewhere near the power button and it has an icon of an arched arrow, U-Turn symbol, or half of a McDonald's icon. Check fig.1
  6. It will turn the computer back on and will tell you "Windows is loading files.."
  7. Options will come up next. Select One Key Recovery.
  8. On the next window, select Restore from Initial Backup.
  9. Select Start.
Wait for it to complete, it takes several minutes and a little patience. At the end of it it will ask you to click on Done. Then select Reboot on the window that follows.

Your computer will restart and as it comes back up, it walk you through windows setup just like the first time you got the computer. This time, if ever you are prompted to type in a password, LEAVE IT BLANK. Or, if you really need security, write the password down in its correct case.

As you do this all files on the computer will be wiped out, and the only way to back them up is by taking the hard drive out of the computer and connecting it to another computer. This requires hands-on assistance from your local technician.

Hi I forgot my password to my computer is there anyway I can get in?

Hi,

This is only possible is you are using Windows XP. If your operating system is windows Xp, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on your laptop and allow it get to the stage where is will ask for user/log password
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del your keyboard.
  3. A user name and password prompt will pop up.
  4. On the user name type in "administrator
  5. On the password, type in "administrator"
  6. and you windows will open, go to control panel from there to change the password.
That's all. In other words, the user name and password is administrator.

But in the case of windows Vista, you will have to re-run windows operating system, because vista security is very tight and its difficult to break into its password.

Take care.

When I turn on my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the password screen comes up, I put in my password and it says it is wrong. I haven't changed it and now it is wanting me to reset password. Is there anyway to do...

The problem with these kinds of questions is that passwords are there for a reason, and we can't know the validity of that it's your computer OR your password. There are easy work arounds, but you will have to google them as they could be unethical, so I can not in good faith tell you how to bypass someone's password.

You'll need to know your OS and you'll probably need access to a 2nd computer to burn a CD, or at least you'll need a USB stick.

For anyone who runs into this problem, and you've MADE CERTAIN you're entering your user name, if asked, AND you've tried logging in in safe mode (usually hitting the "f8" button while booting on windows OS's gets you a safe-mode menu) with no luck or results, make sure when you DO figure out the solution, that you WRITE DOWN your password somewhere.
Passwords don't change, unless YOU change them.
Or it's not your computer.

Laptop went on hang mode, while re-booting asking for password.

Hello,
If you forget your Windows password or if your password expires, you must reset your password before you can log on to your computer. This article contains two methods that you can try to reset your password so that you can log on to your computer again. These steps only work if you have previously created a password reset disk for the computer, or if you can log on as an administrator to assign a new password to your account.

If you do not have a reset disk or cannot log on as an administrator, unfortunately, you may have to reinstall Windows XP and all other programs that were installed on the computer before you can use the computer again. This is for security. Without these safeguards, anyone could reset a password to anyone else's computer and gain access to private information.

Please mention which operating system you are using.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 then their is no way to get in other than reinstalling the operating system.
In XP their are two ways to change the password.
1st method - Restart the system and when you see the computer manufacturer's name Dell or HP or any other start tapping the F8 button 5 to 8 times. A menu will come. Choose the safe mode option and then press enter on the next screen on selection of the os. Your computer will now show u a new account by the name of administrator. If you had an admin password then u won't be able to get in here either. But most people dont have this so log in to this account and go to the control panel and you will be able to remove the password for your own account. Restart system and you are good to go.
2nd method ( Required only if you have a password for this hidden administrator account )
Boot from the Windows XP cd. When the cd stops loading at a point press Enter on the first screen, then press F8 to accept the licensing agreement and then press R for repair. When the repair process starts and you see Windows being loaded press Shift and F10 together, the command prompt will open up. Type the following command.
net user user name *
(user name means whatever ur username is that appears on your login screen)
after this the computer will ask u to type a password so just type any password. Better to type a really short one becasue when you type the password on this screen you won't see the cursor moving or your password being typed in.
Press Enter after typing the password.
It will ask you to retype the password. Again the password would be visible when you type.
Press Enter and it will tell you command completed successfully. If it does not work then retype the commands again carefully. Just make sure u type a short password, probably a one letter password and u wont have any issues.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

Can't unlock my ibm thinkpad t23

Your computer has been protected by a Power On password.
If you didn't set this password then ask the person who set the password on the computer.
This password is near impossible to crack, try various names, pets, kid's names, family names/places, street names etc. There are no back door passwords and the password is not stored in the BIOS and removing the BIOS battery won't erase the password.
The password is stored on an EEPROM chip and you need electronic knowledge to build an EEPROM reader, then pull your laptop apart, solder the reader to your laptop, connect the reader's connector to a working computer, and run a program to read the contents of the EEPROM, identify the password from the downloaded data, unsolder the reader, put the laptop back together, boot up and insert the password. You can now enter the BIOS and change the password or remove it.
For further info goto http://sodoityourself.com

The Power On password and the Hard drive password are designed to prevent unauthorized access to the laptop and the data that is stored on its hard drive.
Removing the hard drive from the protected laptop and inserting it into another laptop will not work, you still cannot access the data on the hard drive without the correct password.

Reload the operating system, if you have any hangups during or after installation, it's a hard drive failure.
