Ibm workpad 30x (palm IIIx) and palm os 4.1

I have an IBM Workpad 8602-30X 4mb which is the equivalent of a Palm IIIx.
I got the Palm OS 4.1 Upgrade, but it wont work. It says "The Palm OS
software in this Upgrade Utility does not match the model of the handheld
you are attempting to upgrade." I don't know what to do..
I'm running WinXP pro, serial hotsync cradle, hotsync manager 4.0.1
any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

I'm running OS 4.0 on a IIIx without problems
