I have just had my computer serviced for the first time and now can not turn the sound off by using Fn+ F10. Was told to download Asus Keyboard, but have not idea what to do. At the moment I have to use volume control and wait for window to appear and then click on Mute and close window again. No problem, just slower. How do I get this function to work again on my keyboard without having to pay the expert again? Thank you, Margo

If you know the model of your keyboard go to this link : http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us in the first dropdownlist select Peripherals and Accessories in the second select keyboard and mouse then in the 3-rd list select de code you find on the back side of your keyboard. then hit search. You will be able to find the specific drivers for your keyboard. If that doesn't help write me the keyboard model.

If you provide me the model of your laptop I can direct you to download the driver to install for the keyboard. I won't even charge you anything - FREE.

I have a asus laptop and the sound button is f10 and the sound is bleu but i dont know how to turn it op or ndown ???

Many notebooks require a driver / support software to be installed in order to use hotkeys on the keyboard to control hardware - like a sound card. Go to the ASUS "Drivers & Downloads" site and download and install the latest drivers for the notebook. Once installed, you may find that pressing the Fn key AND the F10 (opr F11 or F12) keys at the same time like this: <Fn> + <F10> or <Fn> + <F11> or <Fn> + <F12> key combinations will control your speaker and volume up and down.

Keyboard of myASUS K50IJ-XA1 15.6-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop (Black) is locked How to unlock the same? Kindly help

Well, do you mean only the keyboard is locked? Can you boot the system properly? Is the mouse working? Which Operating System is running on your Laptop?
Here are a couple solutions you can try before you let me know the above queries.
1. Press and hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard while pressing the L key on the keyboard once. In other words, Press Windows Key + L once. If this doesn't work, don't forget to include the Fn key while pressing these two keys. Windows+Fn+L. Still nothing?
2. Turn off the Machine, remove the battery and unplug the charger. Leave it for at least 10 seconds, you can press the power On button on the laptop without the battery and the charger installed/plugged in. Now re-install the battery, and turn back On the machine. It should work.
If you need further help, if the problem persists, Let me know with the details.
Good Luck.

You don't have it on mute Fn+F10, right?

You also need to make certain that you have the correct playback device set as default (right click on the speaker icon >playback devices and click on "Speakers" and set it as "Default Device". When you use headphones sometimes it messes up the settings.
Good luck!

The wireless is enabled on this laptop by pressing the function (Fn) key and F10 key at the same time. The wireless needs to be turned on every time the computer is restarted.

Problem in opening the wireless connection and the Cd installation cannot open also

Sounds like you have removed the hotkey functions.

You will need to go on here,

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Find your model in the A3000 series and download both of the "Utilities" in the "Other" section and install them. Should be ok after this is done.

FUNCTION KEY:(

try, right click on my computer icon>properties>hardware tab>device manager>, then look down the list to your keyboard, click + sign, right click on keyboard select uninstal and then reboot notebook and keyboard will self install. If still not working your drivers may be corrupt and will need to be downloaded from the Asus support website.
