I have a 55,000 BTU Kerosene heater that will not fire up. The fan, ignitor are all working. What could cause this?

The fuel is drawn from the tank by vacuum. If there is any kind of dirt in the fuel or tank, it will clog up that tube and not fire up. Also there is a foam filter at the rear that could be dirty. There is also a reset button by the filter that needs to be reset every time it runs out of fuel.

My heater fires up after 5 seconds and then dies out.

Locate and clean lens on fire eye. If heater will run with fire eye wires connected with a jumper then replace eye.

60000 heater kerosene fires up but shuts off shortly after

Check the entire fuel like to the tank. They tend to break, plug up, etc. which causes a lot of problems. The strainer in the bottom also plugs up. Rick
