What is a wpa2 passphrase

WPA2 is the security encryption algorithm used by most wireless routers. It provides security for an individual's wireless network by requiring a passphrase to allow a user to connect to the network. The passphrase is established by the person who sets up the router. This person, or someone else who knows the passphrase, must provide it to anyone wishing to connect to the wireless network.

Need to change wifi passphrase to all numbers or all letters smart tv doesn't recognize letters and numbers

you can auth your tv to use wi-fi without password via mac from wify setup when detected.

disable passphrase from router and connect tv, auth tv and pus back passphrase and it should work, if not, change security type of router to another, WPA/WPA2 where it would let you enter any password you like.

My printer is asking me for a WPA passphrase in order to connect to the router. Where do I find this?

Your printer must have wireless capability. It is asking for your wireless security passphrase in order to join the wireless network. This passphrase is the key/phrase that you created when you setup your wireless network. You will need to login to your router and go to wireless setting section to find out what the passphrase is if you don't remember it. Thanks

I need the passphrase for wireless network for my windows 7 starter

the passphrase is whatever you made it when you were setting up the router's wireless security.
If you have forgotten your passphrase, you'll have to completely reset the router by holding in the reset button at the back for 10 seconds, and then reprogramming the wireless security.
You will then need to set all the other wireless devices you own to the new passphrase.

I am setting up a wireless printer and am being asked for a WPA passphrase. Where can I find this?

Hi Friend, In this case I would like to tell you that the WPA passphrase is set in the router's page. So, you will find the passphrase on the router's graphical user interface.
however, I would also like to tell you that the WPA passphrase is the same key that you have set for the wireless network to connect to the Internet

I dont know my passphrase and i need it to connect to my xbox

The passphrase to the wireless encrypted network? You might have to reset the router to take the encryption off. Otherwise, try opening a web browser from a computer on the wireless network and going to the router's admin page. The password might be in there.

Forgotten the passphrase

ummm ...how can we know what passphrase you set on your router? .... lol

Find the reset button ...it will no doubt be behind a little hole in the case somewhere that you have to stick a pin in to press it.

This will set the router back to factory defaults with no security set. Then you can enter a new passphrase.
