If your machine is displaying "replace waste toner container" then you can empty the waste toner box & reset the machine.
If you open the front door you will see a large black box & above this a small rectangular green button. Pressing this button will release the black box. The box will then lift upwards from the machine. At the bottom of the box you will see a round, clear plastic bung, remove the bung & empty the waste toner into a suitable bag or container. Once emptied, the bung can be re-fitted, the waste box can be inserted back into the machine. Locate the waste box into the 2 slots then push the waste box firmly back in place until it latches. Turn the machine off & on using the switch located to the left of the waste box in the bottom left corner of the inside of the front door. This should reset the machine. Be careful when disposing of the waste toner, it is flammable so do not dispose of in a fire. Hope this helps.

The standard instructions are ... remove the waste container, water container & ground coffee container. On the front of the Brew Unit is a vertical black lever with a grey press button at bottom. Press this button and turn the lever clockwise. Then press the release catch that holds the brew unit as base and pull the brew unit. If Brew Unit is still stuck then its likely that the Unit State is not in the 'home position' and if this has occurred then its likely that that an error code would be showing. Regards
Open the door and you will see four bins top right is the bean container - bottom right is the water container - bottom left is the waste container - top left is and empty storage bin - remove the top left bin and you will see a flap door - lift the door up and insert your ground coffee.
An old thread, but this issue drove me crazy so I'll post in case others suffer. The solution for me was quite simple... I thought the instructions meant empty the waste container for the machine to use it to collect water. So I put it back inside and made no progress. It actually means take out and put under the streamer / coffee outlet to catch the water outside. Off it went all good.
This worked for me. I had the main power switch, at the back, on. The machine was switched off with the power botton on the front. Then I disconnected the power plug and reconnected it. The machine resetted and works fine now.
I have the same problem. I unscrewed the bottom part of the infusor and the whole infusor assembly fell at the bottom once I switched it on. Everything is stuck now. Please help!
I think the microswitch that sensors the front door is not activated. Try to find it and "give it a massage" The machine resets the counter for the grounds container every time the door switch is activated.
remove the used grounds container and place a folded piece of paper where the grounds container touches the micro switch ( that is in a slot in the left side where the container enters approx 8cm inside) and then restart the machine and the grounds container will now be able to enter, remember to remove the folded paper before inserting the container
