1 Open door and you will see 5 crosshead screw on each side, undo the top screws and lift up the plastic control panel to release it from the metal clips fixed to the back of the furniture door
2 Lift up the door to release the plastic clips (fixed to the back of the furniture door) from the keyway slot in the metal dw door
3 If its a 2677 that is the replacement the reverse the proceedure on the new one, there is no point cahnging the clips, if its not then
4 Swap over to new makes fixings and rehang the door

Program selector will not move

If the program selector on your Tecnik 2677 appliance will not move, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
  1. Obstruction: Check if there are any obstructions, such as food or debris, that may be blocking the program selector. If so, remove the obstruction and try moving the selector again.
  2. Loose or damaged parts: Check if any of the parts of the program selector or control knob are loose or damaged. Tighten or replace them as necessary.
  3. Mechanical issue: If the above solutions do not work, there may be a mechanical issue with the program selector mechanism. In this case, it is recommended to contact a qualified appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Replace dishwasher

Is your DW plumbed into the garbage disposal as many are? Or does it have the drain line running into a pvc opening in the sink drain line? Remove the drain line to see if water gushes out. If no or minimal water leaves your drain line from the DW, then the problem is internal in the DW. Most likely cause is a plugged screen at the inside bottom of your DW, or the pump is blocked. Best way to resolve is to get a wetvac and just suck all the water out of the inside before you remove the DW. Otherwise you will have water splashing out on your floor. If you can see the screen is plugged up after doing so, then pull the screen out and then turn the DW on. If operating normally it will go into the pump out mode first before adding any water. Turn off the water to the DW under the sink first to eliminate any concern about adding additional water into an already filled up DW. Good Luck!

How do you remove the front facia door of a Teknik integral dishwasher

I have just replaced the facia on mine. It is a TKD795/4 so I would imagine yours would be very similar. Around the inside of the door are 10 starhead screws; 4 along the top and 3 down each side. On mine it is the 2 end screws along the top and the 2 middle screws down the sides that hold the facia on. It is best to remove one screw at a time to establish which ones hold the facia on and which hold the door together. The short screws hold the door together and should be replaced and left in place. It is the longer screws that hold the facia on; these only need to be undone enough to release the facia panel. Once you have undone the relevant screws, the facia will lift up enabling you to release the 2 clips at the bottom. Replacement is reverse of removal. Hope this helps.

Access to Dishwasher Pump to check for Blockage

Turn off the power to the DW.
Remove the screws holding the door panel on(not the control panel screws).
Remove the "toekick" panel from the bottom of the DW. The pump will be in front of you.
Use a volt meter to check for power to the pump. If there is power, remove the pump and check for a blockage. If no blockage you can make a 120 volt test cord to power the pump to see if it works.

HOW TO REPLACE HEATING ELEMENT

Turn off the electric panel breaker that powers the unit! Check to make certain it is off before proceeding.

You will need to disconnect the Dishwasher (DW) from the electric, water and drain lines and remove it from under the counter in order to be able to access the underside of the DW. There you will find two (2) wires connected to the heating element along with a couple of fasteners that hold it in place. Also check inside the DW for any hold down clamps, etc. on the heating element there.

Once you have removed the connectors and mounting screws, you can then remove the element from the inside of the DW. You will need to "pop" out the grommets that the element passes through from the inside to the underside of the DW, as these keep water from leaking past the elements. Just remove and save those grommets and reinstall them onto the new element and slip it back inside the DW and through the holes in the floor of the unit. Reconnect the wires and re-fasten the screws or clamps that hold the element in place and reinstall the DW back under the counter, reconnecting the water and drain lines and the electric power.

This is a fairly simple and money saving repair for the DIY'er and well worth the time it will take you to perform the replacement. Good luck and hope this helps. Here's a link to the versions of your DW that will show you what it looks like for the parts and placement for your specific unit as I couldn't locate an exact match without the rest of the model number series. Just select yours and look at the diagrams to find the heating element on the inside of the wash tub.
