LE actually stands for "Lock (motor) error". The main pump motor is probably bad. It is able to drain because that is a different pump motor. If it was a problem with how the drain hose was run and it was draining out you would get a DE error "drain error".

LE error means level error (the d/w fills up but the water drain out at the same time somehow). I had a case once where the drain hose at the back of the d/w was resting on the floor to drain underneath the cust house. problem is like any drain hose it has to GO UP FIRST and then down to the ground otherwise the gravity will push the water out as the d/w fills up hence the LE error.

take care.

Melted a spoon on element. What can I do to remove plastic on element

The way to remove it is you need to raise the temprature of the element to the level when the spoon melted, not so easy of a task, but nothing else will do it.

I would fire the element, and be ready with a damp terry cloth towel, and wipe the spoon free. Another way would be to use a propane torch, but you MUST protect everything around the element or you will cause more damage.

The key is that you have to acheive the same temprature that melted the spoon, and it will release and leave little, if any residue..

Can I use cold water fill when installing this machine

Hi,
No,
There are only a few dishwashers that have good enough heating elements to be able to use cold water.... most all of them need to fill with hot water and then the element just keeps the water hot...

Dishwasher does not fill with water. Moter or pump is running but machine will not fill with water.

The first thing to check is the float. Remove the lower rack, in the front right corner there is a plastic float that looks like a hat. Check to make sure something like a spoon is not stuck under it. The float should move up and down about 1/2" freely. If it is stuck up the dishwasher will not fill.

The second cause could be the house supply got shut off under the sink, this would only happen if you had someone working under there.

The last thing would be the water valve on the machine. If you take the two screws out of the lower kick panel it is located near the front left corner. It has 2 wires and 2 hoses going to it. If you have a meter you can check the coil for resistance or power to the valve when trying to fill.

Let me know if you have more questions.

F3 error showing

F3 means the Dishwasher thinks it's water temperature in the tub is over 80oC. So when the unit stops see how hot the water is. The unit has a temp sensor which is part of the element which maybe faulty, the element maybe faulty or the Motor controller module is faulty. I'd try the Motor Controller module first as replacing the element can be a tricky job if you haven't done one before. If you have a double dishdrawer you can swap over the Motor Controller modules (main computers in the front of each drawer) as the top and bottom are the same part, inturn you will prove 100% if this is the fault or not without buying a new controller. Cheers

Lower Spray Arm doesn't Rotate on Siemens SE55A560 Dishwater

upper and lower connection should be same type of setup
missing part thus?
This sometimes is also caused by not driving in right the rack (closing properly) mating the connections tight. My old Bauknecht had this little problem.
Unfortunately I have no manual with parts drawings.
Still warranty?
Parts shop nearby?
Upper connection does have rubber ring or is a conical seal?
And when you fill the basket, no teaspones or such dropping too far down? My error many times.........

Thermador dishwasher DWU244, error code "F" does not run?

f code is a fill fault problem to much or to little water to determine the problem is to hit cancel drain buttons on the front of the machine and wait for cl on the display turn off machine and wait 30 seconds turn back on and the first thing you will hear is the drain motor turn on for 15 sec then you should hear the water filling into the machine if you dont hear water filing then check to see if the valve under the sink is open to allow water to fill machine

Dishwasher spray arms don't spin & spray water

Could be a a couple different issues.. Not filling with enough water or food chopper broke or food chopper filter screen clogged.

Check water level:
Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be no more than 1/4 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.

Inspect food chopper:
1. Remove lower spray arm and rear water supply tube to upper spray arm.
2. Remove torx screws that secure the sump cover.
3. Remove primary filter
4. Remove food chopper cover to expose the chopper assembly. Inspect for breakage or blockage.
