You will either have to send it to pentax for repair or a local camera repair company.

I don't know any repair places in new Zealand. so you will have to ask around local camera shops or look online for a place.

well the same thing happened with my camera.. ended in the trash can. the internal mechanism is broken or stuck and that needs repair or few gears / other parts might need to be replaced.

Anyways the camera has to be opened and inspected what is broken, in order to fix it, and I never got my camera back together so all I can recommend is sending it to repair.

if your careful, you can try, just not too hard, you may need to twist it to a direction or another.

Suddenly, after taking some photos the camera will light up to the Fujifilm start window, and no further, then blacks out. It will not shut off with the power button, nor retract and close the lens even...

The main board is bad. Was it recently dropped? If so, then the board might have been damaged - it's not worth fixing. When a camera is dropped it's like a car getting into a major collision - you'll have other problems later. As long as the memory card is good, you should still be able to recover your pictures.

Lens will not retract lens error 20e,1,0,0

Put in fresh batteries in your camera and try to power on. If this didn't work, do this little trick:

1. Hold the camera on your right hand with the lens facing the ground.

2. As you press the power on button, tap or hit the camera's base to your left palm. Do this several times.

Chances are, there could be a sand or granule of dust that got stuck on the sides of the lens, preventing it to retract properly.

Camera wont turn on due to lens problem....

Same problem. I applied pressure to the extended lens by slightly twisting it from side to side. Hit the power button and the lens retracted and then extended again. The camera seems to be working properly.

Lens wont retract

I did the same thing to my camera (twice) and I just took it back to the place where I got it. Since it was within the 6 month return period- they let me exchange it for no charge.
They told me that when the camera hits something while the lens is out, it knocks the lens out of its groove, which is why you can't get it to retract.

Nikon L3 Lens wont extend

Hi:
If the camera has not been abused, such as dropping, impact of some sort, or restricting the extending lens, then there is an internal problem.
See my other posts on suggestions of selling it.
