I am having trouble installing the installation cd sandisk that came with my sansa clip mp3 player. I have windows xp and just installed the sp2 pack, but the cd will still not install. Thanks.

pleae check if the cd includes a driver for won xp- it might not

put in cd manually, browse it using the win xplorer, until u find someting like setup.exe
in the main directory of the cd or in the driver directory, double-click7 execute it.
this may tell u if the driver software on cd supports win xp - else get the right driver here:

http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp

folow the instructions on the screen,

enjoy

Sandisk is not detected in Vista operating system notebook

See the FAQ here - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_view/faqs

The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.
The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:
SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199
SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)
SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode

View/c200: Turn on & press and hold the rewind button while plugging into the PC

Connecting my sansa to my pc

What version of software is on your computer? Sansa requires Windows XP SP2 minimum. Anything older will not work.

Lost driver

The disk had Rhapsody and / or Best Buy Software and Sansa Media Converter. Which can be downloaded from www.Rhapsody.com and the Sansa media Converter is here; http://www.sandiskthailand.com/images/SansaMediaConverter.zip It did not contain any drivers. As long as you have Windows XP / SP2, and Windows Media Player 10 or higher, you will not need anything off of the disk. Best of Luck.
