I believed this happened after a power outage.it just won't turn on anymore.

I have the same problem.

Best suggestion I can tell you is try unplugging your Wii for 2 minutes. Then plug it back in, and try again. I know it sounds weird, but I've done it for a few things after power outages/surges.
If that doesn't work, contact Nintendo.
