Question about Whirlpool ET8CHEXSQ Dryer

1 Answer

Whirlpool Refrigerator Hi, I have a Whirlpool Refrigerator, 4 yrs. old, Model ET8CHMXKQO. This week I've notice water building up under the Crispers. I dried it completely out, then this morning I notice a little more. Why is this happening? Do I need to have a serviceman come and repair it? Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem. The water is clear. I turned the water to the icemaker off and the leak stopped. I suspect the valve that turns off the water is seeping. How do I solve - confirm this?

This is similar to what I had a while back. There is either a seal break which is allowing air to get in or the door itself is not closing well or wtaer is coming in from the vent that sends cold/cool air in from the freezer side. At this point you do not need a service tech particularly if it is operating properly. Is the water clear or does it have a color to it? Let me know so I can be of further help.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Noisy drum

You may have a rear drum support issue. There are 2 rollers,(supports), 1 at 4 o'clock and 1 at 7 o'clock. If the bushing in the roller becomes elongated,(elliptical), it will give a thumping noise, as you describe.
