I have the same problem. I have connected to computer and can tranfer and delete files, but cannot listen to any of it due to boot problem. The e-mail address on the website comes back as undeliverable and the answering machine at Siren says the number is out of service. Any news on Siren, Inc.?

I have the exact same problem. I bought the Siren MP3 player in May--approximately 3 months ago. It does nothing but show there is a boot error and shuts down. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried changing batteries, but same problem no matter what. I don't know what else to do.

I am getting the same error message and only used the player a couple times before the problem started. I can view and load files on my PC, but can't play them. Couldn't find any contact info for Siren but someone told me they were a division of iRiver? If that's true, maybe iRiver could send the firmware to reformat the flash drive and restore the corrupted files? If anyone else has any luck with this, please let me know!

Same problem but it seems to "come and go." Lately, it is more "go." Boot error suggests that the player programme in the Siren is corrupted or lost during a file deletion or format. Most of the time I get an input error on that drive when connecting to my computer. I think that Siren is no longer in business ... my unit lasted for about three months ... seems like some company knew these were lemons. I bought mine from MicroCenter.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

While ipod is open show boot error

Please try and see if a reset will solve the issue. If not allow the ipod to drain off completely and then see if this has reset . Other wise connect to PC and check for faulty corrupt files. Remove , format and try .

"Boot Error, Sutting Down"

You may have let a magnet get near the mp3 player. Go to "My Computer" Then double click on the Mp3 player. You will see "Internal Storage" Icon. Right click it and click format. You will lose all data on the device. Also upgrading to 3.003 does not fix the Boot error problem.
