Put the oven in Self Clean mode for 3 minutes and then cancel.. if if that will release the relay that controls the lock. If that doesn't work, Unplug the oven for 10 mintues, then plug it back in holding the CLEAR button down. If neither of those work you will need to contact a service repair man.

Oven is stuck in lock mode

Hi Lora, this is AP!

Based on the description of the Frigidaire electric range provided it appears the door lock feature has been activated. In order to cancel the Oven Lockout feature, press clear off and hold for 3 seconds. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operation.

This door lock feature is activated by pressing clear off and holding for 3 seconds. "Loc" will appear in the display, the "Door Locked" indicator light will flash and the motor driven door lock will begin to close automatically. Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock. Once the oven door is locked, the current time of day will appear in the display. If any control pad is pressed with the oven lockout feature active, "Loc" will appear in the display until the control pad is released.

This information is also located in the owner's manual should you like to view it again, you may retrieve a manual using your model# and the following link http://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support-Manuals/.

I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect.

Long shot...but perhaps the door sensor is not working well....try playing with the latch, and using a penetrate oil on the door latch.

After cleaning the outside surfaces of the stove, the oven door is locked and does not unlock if we push the stop button. Display reads LOC. No self cleaning cycle was initiated. The stove is a Kenmore...

What about child lock? Read user manual or try holding button for 10 seconds, might be two at once.
(I bought a $200 control board and travelled 150 kilometers for that one....)

Used the self cleaning cycle 24 hrs. ago, but the oven door will not unlock. We tried to run it through another clean cycle but we recieve an E1 error.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
you may have done a panel lock, so try the first solution.

To Lock/Unlock Control: Before locking, make sure the ovens, Timer and Timed Cooking are off. Press and hold START/ENTER until a single tone sounds and "Loc," a picture of a lock and "START?" will appear on the oven display, about 5 seconds. Repeat to unlock and remove "Loc" from display.

To Stop Self-Clean any time:
Press UPPER OFF, LOWER OFF or OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will remain locked. It will not unlock until the oven cools.
