Dear Sir, I have one of the above Omega Seamasters which was bought in June 2007. Since then the bracelet has fallen apart 4 times now and Swatch want me to pay for a new one. Is this normal for a bracelet strap from Omega to fall apart ? Best Regards, Steven Dunphy [email protected]

Hi dunphysteven

It is not normal that the bracelet falls so often.
There seems to be an issue with the product. However the warranty period in most cases is limited to 2-3 years, which unfortunately has crossed in your case.
Therefore in this case u need to pay for the bracelet.

Alternatively you can sell your watch on ebay or some other similar site with the mention that bracelet is an issue.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
TDCL

I have a Longines Lungomare L3.633.4. The chrono reset counter pusher has fallen off and I can't find a replacement anywhere? The cheapest quote I had was 400 pounds not really worth doing?

Absolutely worth doing. It is a premium make and a $1,200 watch. They are nearly $700 used on the secondhand market.

How or where do I get a new watch strap for above.

Duplicate straps for a great many inexpensive fashion watches are not available and either a universal strap or bracelet used or the whole watch discarded or replaced. Sometimes a junk shop or thrift shop will yield something salvaged that could resemble the original. Sometimes jewellers and watch repairers collect junk watches for parts so asking around locally could bear fruit.

More expensive watches might have replacement straps or bracelets available from the manufacturer or dealer for a limited time as a spare part.

Replacement straps or bracelets should be available for the best watches from the manufacturer for a considerable time.

Unless your watch is a Rolex or an Omega or similar I suggest you start your search at your local watch repair shop.

Omega 196.0167 cal 1342

The watch part number and a knowledgeable watch maker will provide the correct bracelet. If you WANT a leather strap most models can accept one - unless the case is sculpted to integrate seamlessly with the bracelet, in which case you may not be able to insert the spring bars that are necessary to mount the strap.

I have bin given a omega watch four my birtday and i wont to no how mutch its worth the serial numberis 53831642

mcdevito75 here, Omega, outstanding watch, and a Deville REAL NICE, Depending on it"s age and the functions it has I would guess, $225.00---------$275.00 or even more. The Seamasters are the REAL expensive Omegas. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for further help.

How to remove link from band

The segments of your bracelet are held together with friction pins which have to be removed first in order to adjust it. This is a relatively complicated task requiring experience and a special tool to remove and return the pins and bushings back correctly without compromising the bracelet strength.
I recommend taking your watch to an Omega authorised dealer for adjustment while you wait.
