NetGear WNDR3400 N600 Wireless Dual Band Router (WNDR3400100NAS) Logo
Therese Posted on Jan 29, 2011

I replaced my old netgear router with the wndr3400 and now my wireless printer is not working. I just get the message it is offline. I replaced the old wgr614 because it stopped working, but before that I had no problem with my wireless printer. I have a hp 306 all in one, windows 7 os. I tried reinstalling the printer, but it didn't work. I have the router set up under "public" to share files and printers. Netgear will not help unless I purchase it. There are no instructions to help.

Wow.... HAD THE VERY SAME PROBLEM .... a few hours ago here..... I believe the 306 has a touch screen ????? If so, using the screen, go to "Network", touch that, and then choose "WI-FI Protected setup"...... follow the prompts and you should have your printer back.... at least that's the road I followed when I found my HP-B209 gave it up after installing the WNDR3400 N600..... Also, do ya have a cordless phone in the immediate vicinity, like 'tween your PC and the printer ??? If so, move the phone.... could be hosin' up all those 1's and 0's........

HP 6400 wireless printer will not work with netgear wndr3400v3 router

If the printer is connected via wireless it may not be set up correctly, as a network printer.
Connect it up via a USB cable to make sure it works, then change it to Wireless configuration and re-install it as a network not a USB printer.

I want to know if the WN111 will be compatible to my new WNDR3400 router

Well, I know this may be solved by now (Hope so anyway, right???) but YES IT DOES !! I just set up our new WNDR3400 this evening and my son has 240 Mbps through a Netgear WN111 out in the garage (approx. 75 ft. away...)
