Question about Panasonic Lands Phones
You need to determine if the static is incoming from your service drop, the wires going into a usually grey box mounted on your house. You can open the box yourself and unplug your house from the modular jack then with a phone from your house plug it into the jack and go off hook and if the dial tone is clear you have a problem in your house.A corroded jack is the usual problem. If you cannot open the box on your house call the phone company and have them isolate it up to your house. If they determine the problem is in your house they will charge you a hefty fee to fix it.If it is on the service wire they have to fix it for no charge.Once the static is clear you should be able to retrive voice mail. tk46
