I have the same problem, mostly when the monitor is cold. I found a work-around tho. You bring up the menu, scroll through the options and select "memory". hit that it it does a memory reset, take about 3 seconds. After that, my monitor works perfectly. One time the power button stopped working and I had to unplug to turn the monitor off but it didn't do this for the last two days. Best of luck.

You can try Malwarebytes free for malware.
Also if you carefull you can type msconfig in search bar in windows and click on msconfig. In the pop up. In startup menu, stop any reference to" Lautstarke" and also in services. Make sure you click on hide all microsoft services on bottom in services before starting. Do not untick any service you are not sure of. Google first.
Startups I always disable. Cannot do any harm there.

I get this grey framed box with a black background.. with a orange volume control pop up in the middle of my screen! How do I get rid of it?

Right click on the start bar and select Task Manager, once it opens click on the Applications tab, look for a program that's running here, that you are not familiar with or did not start yourself, left click it and select end task. If its not listed try the Processes tab instead and find it in there. Once it stops running go to add remove programs, find it and remove it.

Wondering if you resolved it and how I was having the same issue have taken my screen apart and it is not the button pressing seems to be a deeper routed issue. I have tried driver re-install, change of start up and various other items none are resolving it. I think it maybe a issue directly related to the manufactoring of the E181H Monitor.

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is stuck in - possibly the volume down button. If no buttons work, this could be the reason why. Just a guess. If they all feel OK, it may still be worth pulling the back off, (Without electricuting yourself -DISCONNECT POWER!) remove the PCB board that has the buttons on it, and see if it turns on without the menu. If so, check all buttons, rare but I have seen one that looked fine but with a multimeter it showed it wasnt working. If the screen still displays the menu, Id say there is a bigger problem... HTH
