Making loud noise when turning on to heat.

If there's a loud noise when you try to microwave food, then the current through the high voltage transformer is probably too high.
Most likely, this is being caused by failure of a component in the high voltage circuit. The most likely component is the high voltage rectifier, followed by the magnetron or high voltage capacitor. High voltage transformers occasionally do burn up as well.

After turning on, my tv (21 inch CRT) produces peculiar rattling noise like high voltage sparking. The screen remains blank and there is no audio.

particularly that is a sign of leaking of high voltage in the secondary power supply or flyback transformer and should be corrected right away..check for emission of odor smell of ozone which is coming from high voltage leaks to make sure that it is definitely a high voltage leak...

When the tv is first turned on, the tv will show fine then occasionaly go to a static screen and audio

SOUNDS LIKE A HIGH VOLTAGE ARC. THIS CREATES NOISE THAT PASSES TO ALL OTHER CIRCUITS. THERE CAN BE SEVERAL PLACES THIS CAN HAPPEN ALL AROUND THE TUBES. THERE SOCKETS AND THE HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER

Hitachi 50v715 poping noise, also affects sony wireless headphones

Pull back off and try to to see if there is anything arcing or where the popping noise is coming from. It could be the ballast board. This is the high voltage for the lamp. A arc(snap) would come through the audio. BE VERY CAUTIOUS IN THIS AREA BECAUSE OF HIGH VOLTAGE!!! Always unplug the set when pulling off wires or have your hand inside the set. Unless you are taking voltage checks and have a little electronics background. Hope this is helpful....

WHEN TV IS TURNED ON IT SHOWS WELL FOR ABOUT 10 MIN THEN THERE ARE LINE ON SCREEN BUT THE SOUND IS STILL THERE

It sounds like part of the video subsystem is overheating.

If you see one horizontal line in the middle of the screen, it is probably the high voltage fly-back transformer.

Do you hear a snapping or popping noise when the picture is lost?

Cannot power up my Sony Trinitron KV-34HS510.

makes a noise
This doesn't tell us much; is it a click or a sharp snapping sound?
The first can be a relay turning on, the second is most likely related to a high voltage discharging.
If it is a relay, then the set could be trying to protect itself from an overload or the power supply has failed; the blinking ON LED is pointing toward that.
If it is a high voltage discharge (you may be able to see it through the vents in the rear housing) then it is possible that an accumulation of dust and household airborne contaminents has created a path that can be removed with some targeted cleaning.

test your power supply output voltages, make sure the step down transformers are not leaking high voltage into the dc circuits. always start at the basics then work your way up or out. the most common problem for these late model tv's is power supply they just dont use quality parts anymore. in older tv's you could hear the high voltage arcs, snap today its rare for that to happen. I have a 32 inch LCD here now that actually blew a 1500 pico farad capacitor with no noise. that amazes me thats a pretty good sized capacitor, and they usually make some noise when they blow the top right off of them.

Panasonic PT-53WX54 What is that popping noise?

A loud popping noise, like a sharp "snap!", is usually caused by high voltage arcing. Somewhere in the high voltage system an insulator may be cracked or loose, such as the plastic around the flyback transformer or one of the rubber cups on a picture tube. When the high voltage arcs, it momentarily drops and the picture could go out for a split second. High voltage is dangerous in projection sets so allow a qualified tech to service it for you.

Popping noise

Does the " popping" noise come through the speakers or from the TV chassis ? If it is coming through the speakers you could have a bad solder joint somewhere in the tuning circuit. If it is a snapping sound coming from the chassis, then you probably have something arcing in the high voltage circiut. If this is the case then you should have it checked out since this can cause other parts to short shutting down you set completely.
