Ok. First of all, what Windows version you have?

Second, to ease up your problems, let us start by cleaning up the system. Yes it is a new installation, but there are stuff that you can remove that won't harm your system and it will ease up the pressure.

This will be a long file, so hold your breath.

Firstly, assuming that you have administrator access, or your account is Computer Administrator, click start, click run and type 'services.msc'.

Now if you are opening this for the first time, i will look confusing. Simply look at the bottom of the window, you will see Extended and Standard. Choose Extended.

The following list is what you need to disable.
Simply right click on and click properties, and click the drop down box and click disable.

All of these services can be safely stopped with no adverse effects on your system, except for a faster boot up, and a better performance.

Alerter(Notifies selected users and computers of administrative alerts)
Application Layer Gateway Service(Internet Connection Sharing)
Automatic Updates(Unbelieveable.... Takes up lots of space and resources)
Backgroung Intelligent Transfer Service(Uses idle bandwidth to transfer data)
Clipbook(This is not needed)
Computer Browser(Used to view other computers on a network)
Distributed Transaction Coordinator(This is not needed)
DNS Client(Resolves and caches DNS)
Error Reporting Service(Sends reports to Microsoft)
Help and Support(Enables Help and Support Center - Should not be needed)
Human Interface Device Access(Enables generic input access to HID)
Indexing Service(ndexes contents and properties of files)
IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service(Used for burning CD's, i am sure you have Nero)
Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)
Messenger(Annoying popup messages once on internet)
Net Logon(Supports pass-through authentication of account logon events)
Netmeeting Remote Desktop Sharing(Enables an authorized user to access this computer remotely)
Remote Desktop Help Session Manager(Manages and controls Remote Assistance)
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator(RPC name service database)
Remote Registry(Used to modify registry settings on this computer)
System Restore Service(Performs system restore functions)
TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper(This is Not Needed)
Telephony(Support for programs that control telephony devices and IP connections)
Telnet(Enables a remote user to log on to this computer)
Terminal Services(Multiple Users connected to PC)
Themes(Provides user experience theme management)
Uninteruptible Power Supply(Manages a UPS)
Upload Manager(Manages synchronous and asynchronous file transfers)
Wireless Zero Configuration(Provides automatic configuration for the 802.11 adapters)
Workstation(Creates and maintains client network connections to remote servers)

Ok. When you are done, restart your pc.

When it has booted back up, go to my computer and right click on the hard drive you are using.... all of them... and click properties, then click 'Disk Cleanup'

Let the thing load and then tick all of the fields by clicking on them. Then click ok.

Let it run through. Do this on all hard drives.

Next, and hopefully what will cause a drastic change, your pagefile.

Right click on My Computer and click Properties, click on the Advanced tab and click on the first Settings button under Performance. A window will pop up and you will see Visual Effects. Click Adjust for best Performance, which is the 3rd Tab. Then, click apply. Let it do its thing, then click advanced and at the bottom, you will see Change. Click that.

If you have 2 drives on your computer, or 1 drive split in 2 or more, that will be great.

Simply choose the 2nd drive, once it is not the main one, and click custom size. Depending on the space empty on the drive, type 2000 in both boxes. Then click set. Then go to your main drive which should be "C:" and click No Paging File. Then click set.

Ok. Now, finally coming to easing up your hard drive space.

Go here and search for ATF Cleaner.

Download it, its free and when it is done, click Select All and then click Empty Selected. Let it do its thing and reboot your pc afterwards. See if you notice a change in the system performance.

Now this part is tricky. You need to go into your main drive, c: and click tools>folder options, click view and tick everything in there, except Hide protected operating system files (Recommended). Also, click Show hidden files.

Then, look for hidden folders with names like "17c362e648ec4aa3e30187024666a5c3" and so on. Delete them, then reboot...

That is the best that i can do for you now...

Hope you see some changes....

Oh...Do a defrag now and then...

Right click your drive, click properties and click tools
Then click Defrag....

Hope this hands are tired now....Laters....

Hi, own a Sony Vaio VGN P530H with hardisk Toshiba MK6028GAL damaged. as forced to replace unit, wonder could install a higher capacity? Brand & model if available please!!! thanks to all of you!!!

The VAIO VGN-T350 is a notebook computer designed and distributed by Sony.
The hard drive on your Sony VAIO VGN-T350, which is the unit that stores data, consists of many clusters of data that can be rewritten with new data.
If you are looking for a memory capacity upgrade, or if your old hard drive is having errors, it's time for an upgrade.
Upgrading the hard drive on your Sony VAIO will require the use of a screwdriver and will take you about 30 minutes to complete.

Turn off your Sony VAIO VGN-T350 and remove the power cord and any other peripheral components.
Turn over your Sony VAIO VGN-T350 and locate the hard drive chamber on the bottom of your laptop. It will be clearly labeled.

Use the screwdriver to remove the screw holding the lid in place.
Gently lift the hard drive and its cage away from your laptop and disconnect the data cord.
Remove the four screws located at the corners, and then remove your old hard drive from its cage.
Place your new internal laptop hard drive into the cage and replace the screws.
Connect the data cord to your new hard drive and place your new hard drive into its chamber.
Close the lid and replace the screw to complete the operation.
Sony Vaio Hard Drive Replacement
This might not be your specific laptop it might give you an insight into the hard drive installation.

Ebay this hard drive should fit there are smaller capacity drives that will be compatible.

When you said memory cards i assume you mean the RAM. You can just take out the ram and put in new ones. Nothing else.

I want to upgrade my ram what type of ram should i use and how what is the maximum amount of ram i can upgrade to?

Memory Upgrade for Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop, the Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop takes the PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop to up to a maximum of 1.0 GB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory, already with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) standard Memory installed. For best Laptop performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your Laptop.
