Touch Screen not responding to Touch
i am using Sony DCR-HC30E Handycam for about 2 years. My handycam suddenly developed a problem, the LCD touch screen is not responding to touch. The LCD is displaying everything fine, the picture quality is like before but only the touch menu is not working. I read the user manual and trouble-shooting section, I did Calibration as mentioned there and also Reset my handycam but there is no solution. The handycam is used very carefully and it never fell down, no shock to the camera.
What should I do now?
touch screen is blank ,no video recording instructions, still can take snapshots , only through view finder

- I have the same problem, only when I try to follow the instructions for calibration, I cannot seem to get to the point where I see the "x" that I am supposed to touch. The instructions are too vague and seem to be missing a step or 2.
How do I calibrate the LCD screen?-

- Hi similar problem - can view pictures, but can't scroll up or down and touch screen doesn't respond to instructions to download. Can read everything fine, but when you touch to do an instruction, it doesn't do anything. Really frustrating.
Do I need a new touch screen - can you get a new touch screen fitted?- Guest

Connecting wire/ cable between LCD and Main Board is broken/ cracked and needs to be replace. Contact nearest Sony Service Center for proper repair.
