Question about Nintendo Video Game Consoles & Games

1 Answer

I put a disk into my Wii and it comes up with a question mark and says the disk is unreadable. It does the same for any disk that I put into it. I have done all the recommendations in the manual including cleaning the disks and turning it off at the mains but nothing is working.

Hi,
it appears that your laser unit is faulty. And not reading the games. Try a music CD or other type of supported media ( Disk )
if it reads nothing at all. Suspected laser read Failure.

My Mario Kart game will not load and keeps saying go to wii operations manual.

This is simple the disk is unreadable.........

A solution that works for scratched disks is:

Using cigarette ashes finely ground up put them on the disk.....
After rubbing them in gently lightly blow off remainder of ashes......
If it still don't work you can have the disk resurfaced.......

Cant connec my wii to netflex

ok,,, just to get this out of the way... first you need to have the disk in (not saying you dont, im just saying in case you didn't)
ANYWAYS... you might need to just report the disk as broken or unreadable and they will send you another Wii-flix disk, also for free.

on that note, make sure your netflix account wasn't cancelled.

My wii system wont read game discs when i put them in. what can i do?

Make sure the game disc is clean before you put it in. Dirty discs often are unreadable.

Also make sure the disc is from your region. Discs from other regions are often unreadable.
If this problem still occurs, visit support.nintendo.com or call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.

When i put a game in and play for a minute then it says this disc is unreadable turn off console. i did that and it still says the same thing

CHECK THE DISKS FOR AND WHITE MARKS.
IF THERE ARE WHITE MARKS ON THE DISK THESE ARE LASER MARKS FROM THE XBOX 360 BEEN MOVED WHILE A DISK WAS PLAYING IN THE CONSOLE.

IF THERE ARE NO MARKS ON THE DISK UR CD LENS NEEDS CLEANED. IF U HAVE DONE ALL OF THE ABOVE AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING UR XBOX 360 MAY BE FAULTY.

Wii game disc's not loading

The lens in your wii disk drive might be dirty or scratched. Try putting in a regular head cleaning cd. The problem is that the wii will not read it but it might spin it round enough while trying to read it to clean the lens. You could also do it manually by taking your wii apart but i wouldn't recommend it personally due to the large quantity of things that break easily and the amount of screws to be taken out that are easy to lose.

Hope this helps,

Mowcius

Unable to read disc message

Could be a damaged disk (check closely), a bad disk (did it work before) or your lens could be going out (which makes it unable to read the disk). Have you tried putting another disk in to see if you get the same problem?

Not taking disks

I have the same problem but I have a solution!

If you unplug your Wii's power you can slide the disk inside. When you turn the Wii back on you should be able to play.
