Question about Creative Labs WebCam Live!

1 Answer

Broadcast issue Hi, I bought a creative cam recenlty. It works on my pc, you can see my pictures except if you go onto yahoo or msm and try to chat etc. On yahoo I can request my cam picture which is fine until you try to broadcast it, 20 seconds later it then cuts off! Spometimes it actually diconnects the broadband, then I have to shut it down and restart I did re-install the drivers etc, but there is no change to the situation. Thanks, Paul

Go to start/control panel/system/device manager/check and see if any have a yellow mark on them this means drivers are faulty or not loaded properly right click/properties when in properties delete driver and/or upgrade
One other thing to try is go to c:\ right click properties go to tools/check now/when box pops up tick automatically fix errors
Reboot sometimes windows registry and system files are mixed up and can cause errors

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi,

Please try reinstalling the camera drivers/software and also the application you use to view your camera first uninstall all the drivers from control panel>add/remove programs and then reinstall the drivers/software again from the disc provided to you.If you use any online chat messengers for video chat like skype or yahoo then reinstall that also.

This should fix the problem.

Thank you for using fixya.

Can't get AIM video chat to work.

Hi,
Try installing yahoo chat and see if the video chat works. Then try AIM. Even Google chat, video havenot been working too well with the different firewalls and antivirus.
I find yahoo call setup, video etc work without any problems no matter what kind of firewall, antivirus etc software you have.

The problem sounds like it is not with the hardware or software - You are able to take pictures indicating the device is on and working.

The problem appears to be with the associated programmes such as Skype, Yahoo. You need to select on of the video chat programmes and select the webcam you choose to work with it.

In any of the video chat you will find it is in options/ settings/ video

Massive problems with "CREATIVE" WebCam NX Ultra

You have a bad wire ,.. or a "Break" in your cord.
Hence the cam will not work.
I have had the same prob and it sucks!
Buy a new cam.
