Is this in stand alone mode or through computer?
If computer then remove installed software and then re install

If not printing in standalone mode take a look at this webside

    A measure of confusion her.
I asked- do the light flash in computer print mode only
or Standalone mode only or both?

Go the the website. Type into the field the printer make and model
ask you question tick the notify me box.
There may be already the question answered.
Don't forget the manual on the CD it may have all the answers you need.

Press the < or > keys to choose the Set./Adj. Menu and press the OK key.
SERVICE MODE should appear in the menu list and the MESSAGE LED should flash.

Ive recently changed the password on my wireless network and now my printer keeps flashing orange which means it wont connect to the wireless. From reading a similar post i saw you recommeded to reset the...

To reset the printer's wireless network adapter:
  1. Press Setup(wrench icon).
  2. Go to Network Setup, press OK.
  3. Go to Reset Network Adapter, press OK.
WiFi light will temporarily turn off then will turn on solid orange. Now, run the printer's Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to configure the printer with the new wireless settings. You will need the USB cable temporarily to successfully configure the printer. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

A user has to keep pressing the button to keep it printing and screen states DRUM LIFE ENDS SOON. . She just had a new Drum installed

Just do this to reset the drum life counter since you just install a new one. Ive had this issue with multiple brothers around here on multiple parts ie.... drum, belt, toners.

  1. Press the or - button to choose "Machine Info".
  2. Press OK to proceed to the next menu level, and then press the or - button to choose
    "Reset Parts Life".
  3. Press OK, and then press the button to choose ("Reset Drum").
  4. Press OK two times.

Cannot print anything keep getting service error 6000. Have checked connections, ink etc nohing seems to work

This is called "Display Error", First of all, check for paper jam and if so clear them.
Follow the steps below: Press Additional Functions key Press # Press > to #7 Printer Function Press Set Press > to #4 Printer Reset Press Set Press < Unplug printer and repower it.
If this doesn't help, then your printer needs service.
Good luck Thanks for using FixYa.

Empty cartridge warning

Most problem experienced with hp photosmart c6180 is the yellow catridge error. Try cleaning the contact surface of the catridge and the printer using moistened cotton buds..if error continues, you should clear the error that keeps on displaying.. here's how: press & hold "*" key...while holding, press "#" key and then release both keys..."Enter Special Key Combo" will be displayed...press "1", "2" and "3" to display "Support"...press ">" right arrow button and release when "System Config Menu" appear....press "OK" and/or arrow key to display "Hardware Failure Status"...press "OK"....when "Hardware Failure Status:Clear" appeared, press "OK" to clear...press "OK" again to display "Hardware Failure Status Cleared. Press Cancel To Continue".....press "CANCEL" as many times to display "Welcome To Photosmart Express" or "Ink System Failure".....the last part is to turn off the printer and unplug at the back...wait for 30 sec, then plug and turn on the printer...if asked, press "OK" to continue and allow the "One Time Ink Initialization" to procede..After this try to print...

HP 5610-Keep Getting: "Cartridge Error"

  1. My HP5610 was acting up with the error in cartridge thiny.
I held down the # and the 3 and reset the unit and it is back
    in business.
  2. Is there any other error messages? Like carriage jam or something? If there are no other error then try to do a partial reset on your printer, to do that follow these steps:

Turn your printer on, remove the power cable at the back of your printer while the printer is ON. PRESS AND HOLD the # key and 3 key on the keypad, plug back the power cable WITHOUT releasing those buttons, DO NOT RELEASE THE BUTTONS until you can see the WELCOME SCREEN or INPROPER SHUT DOWN PRESS OK TO CONTINUE.
  3. But before throwing away the (supposed broken) HP5610 I made the last attempt: I gave it the power with the new power supply and...surprise, the printer worked perfectly!!

Hi, taken from here: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/27470

1. Press MENU COPY SCAN COPY COPY

2. This will take you to TEST MODE

3. Use the + key to take you through to PRINTER TEST (option 8)(if you go past, either keep keying the +, or you can use the - to take you back)

4. Ensure that it shows 8-3 on the screen. This is EEPROM CLEAR

5. Press OK

6. It will show 0 INK COUNT

7. Press OK

8. Press the STOP/RESET button

9. Press the ON/OFF button

10. The printer won't turn off, but will "reset" itself (or something).

I'm not sure what this does, but it gets rid of the "WASTE INK NEAR FULL" message and you should be able to print again with no problem.
