We've purchased 2 in the last 3 years. The first lasted about 2 years and the second just quit last week after 1 year. Try starting and get Error!

I have the same problem. It is caused by the thermister thermal probe going bad (open circuit). Delonghi wont sell you the probe which probably costa about $2, they want to sell you a new control panel for $93. You can replace it with another thermister and it works but it will probably be out of calibration.

Light comes on, but it no longer heats up.

I have a similar model of DeLonghi fryer, and I have read that many customers have problems with their fryers not heating, after owning and using them regularly for some time. Mine gives an error message and stops heating, once in a while. The lights remain on, but it displays an error message on the temperature readout. I've found that detaching the magnetic safety cord and thoroughly cleaning both the cord and the connections on the back of the machine makes a big difference. Your mileage may vary.

Getting error reading on display. How do I fix this issue so I can make my wings today?

I have the deep fryer, which I have had a few years and got it out last night and I'm getting an error message. There is nothing about what to do about this in the trouble shooting guide. We made sure the control panel was in and after that have no idea how to solve this problem. Ann Lytle

My Delonghi D14527DZ keeps reading error when plugged in, we over filled it one time but have since let it sit empty but still won't power up.

what this means is that ,The error code indicates that the water or oil or any form of liquid have been located by the temperature sensor reading is out of range (below 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F)

what you will have to do to fix up your fryer is to do what is call general cleaning on it miter so as to allow the lens to communicate with it with this the problem is solve .

Good luck and thanks for using fixya.

I have a ck20 hobart deep fryer that when plugged in and turned on, lights both lights, but does not heat.I checked both fuses with an ohm meter and they appear to be fine. Can you tell me what the...

The element will show infinite resistence if defective. Overload switch.....Do you mean High Limit T/Stat? Use your ohm meter across terminals- should read closed circuit...0 ohms. If not, push red reset button...if clicks once, is now reset and contactors will close and unit will heat. If always clicks, replace limit t/stat Like wise, check themostat--should click once for heat demand and check cicuit same as limit t/stat. May have wire burned off terminal connector at element.

I broke the plastic mount that holds the controls against the outside of the frame. That plastic mount was depressing a switch that is no longer being depressed. I get an Error message too. I'm going to try to contact the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement part. (I doubt I can because the model is discontinued).

Error message

I don't know if this is the true answer or just works with ours, but if I hold the on button (for heating) and the program button together in a couple seconds it stops blinking and resets to the temperature mode. When that hasn't worked, it's also worked to hit the rest button in the back first and hold for a couple seconds and then hit the two buttons mentioned above together. However, each time I get the ERR message it gets harder and harder to reset. I would love for someone else to respond for the actual "fix" for this as it's looking to be the actual computer part of the thermastat to us and I'm wondering if it's worth fixing or shopping for a new fryer is needed for price. But, this has gotten us through for now to be able to fry again.

Same Err message right out of the box. The correct phone # is 1-800-323-9519. They asked my problem, then said cut the plug off it, mail it with my problem, name, address and phone # and they would replace the unit. Gonna mail the plug this week and cross my fingers.
The Company is Jarden Consumer Solutions, 303 Nelson Ave, Neosho, Mo, 64850
Hope this helps somebody.

Lost the plug

Wolfgang Puck has a website on which you can purchase replacement parts for this fryer. Click on products, and then the fryer for a complete listing.
