Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

Re: HP Photosmart A520 series printer. Printer is 6 mo. old and has printed approx 50 photos. Bought as a package with a HP Photosmart #M447 digital camera and misc parts for Christmas 2007. Printer started makind a hard banging sound as the cartridge apparently was sliding back and forth. It stopped working and screen said "carriage jammed. Open door and clear". What door. The tray door was open as I was printing from the camera with the cable supplied. The rear door was open and had paper in it. I opened the cartridge door, both with power on and off. The cartridge was nowhere in sight. Stuck over to the left side. Upon further lokking, there is a piece of shiny thin metal strip just hanging loose behind where the cartridge should be when you open the door to change the cartridge. Doesn't look good. Hmmm....... Maybe not a problem that can be fixed by internet or phone. What a shame. I was impressed with it's printing of the pics I take. Any HP repair shops near SF/Oak 94546 zip code? Thanks, Jack at OLEMADJACK@AOL.com

I have a f4480 hp printer. Used it about 3 times in last 6 mos. It was not printing with the black ink so I just bought #74 & #75 ink from Staples. Now the yellow light on the front of the printer...

If the ink cartridge in the printer is 6 months old, it maybe dried out and would need to be replaced with a new cartridge. When buying new cartridges from places like Walmart, Target etc. check the dates on the packages before buying. Sometimes the cartridges will set in the store too long and dry out.

My HP photosmart A520 Printers ink wont align

I had the same problem with mine when I bought it. The print head is in the ink cartrige not the printer. If it prints all red, blue or yello one of them is stuck, this happened on the trial cartrige that came with it. I put a fresh 110 in it and it aligned and I have printed a TON of pix with no problems.

Using JETCET Print with OKI C5200n Printer

The OKI 5200 is a 'GDI' or Windows only printer and does not support PCL or PostScript languages.
Most if not all of the printers listed support either PCL or PS or an inkjet based language.
I'm afraid you will not be able to print the the 5200 without it's driver loaded on the PDA.
If the 5200 supported PCL you would be able to choose any of the
Color HP Deskjets.
