I have a HP DJ 1050c, the check Printhead path (2) comes on, but there is nothing blocking, and when I try to move the assembly, it is very rigid, when running the self test, the assembly moves back and...

you need to replace the belt assembly. the jerking motion is caused by the build up of debris on the teeth of the drive motor. drive motor on the right side, belt and tensioner on left side. this is a difficult repair and it is getting harder to find the parts. if you can find a certified repair person, let them do the repair. should cost you $300-400. if they are worth a dime it should take less than two hours to perform this repair. make sure they clean the drive motor, replace the belt, clean the printer, lubricate the rail assembly. let me know if this helps.

Broken Belt

Find the manufacturer's part number for the part you need.  You can order it from the manufacturer, or check eBay where you may find a better price.  Here's the link to the HP Parts Store, Fax/Copiers/Scanners:

The drive belt on my hp 450c plotter has slipped off the track

Firstly there is no adjustment on the belt. It is tentioned automatically by a spring on the drive motor. The belt either works or not. If you need to replace the belt it is far more involved. What is the actual problem?

The yellow caable for the c42ux will not fit baack on properly

OK - since you won't respond, we'll assume that the problem is a loose drive belt. To check this and repair it you will need to remove the printer top cover. Once you have done this, check that the spring assembly is intact on the left end of the drive belt. If it isn't you will need professional help to fix this. If it's OK, then look at the drive motor end on the right. If the belt has come off the drive pinion, you must loosen the two screws holding the drive motor. This will permit you to get the drive belt back on the pinion. Make sure the drive motor is held in the correct position when you re-tighten the two screws. Test the printer before replacing the cover.

Sharp AR651 C37 error

The C37 means a "transfer belt operation error". The transfer belt lift motor is faulty. More than likely the now bad motor has affected the board that drives it, so the logic board would need to be replaced at the same time.

You should probably look on the internet for a service manual for it. It may have a specific place to put it for timing purposes.

Aficio 450

Transfer belt position error. Either the sensor that detects the position of the transfer belt is defective or the drive mechanism that that controls the position of the transfer belt is defective. Cleaning of either or both may be all that is required.
