Question about HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Hp 1410 In my printer is not working it is pause stage , status is not displaying.

    when printer is turned on, the hour glass remains on the screen while the printer does this clicking routine for about a Min., then freezes.

Right hand click on the printer driver and check if the printer has not been paused.
try using another usb cable, the usb cable could be faulty
Also set the printer so that it is the default printer.
Uninstall the printer driver and reinstall the driver

Printer in pause status - will not print from computer


If the printing is pause and cause error, just go to printing properties and delete the printing queues and start to print again.

Hi,
Ink System Failure refers to a hardware issue with the printer, however a series of troubleshooting can be tried as a last resort before you get a replacement of your printer.
Try the following:
1. Press and hold the “*” key and then press the “#” key and release both keys.
Now check if there is any message on the printer display, it should display something like "Enter Special Key Combo"
2. Now press and release in sequence the “1”, “2” and “3” buttons.

Now check if there is any message on the printer display, it should display something like "Support"
3. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says “System Configuration Menu”.
4.Press and release the “OK” button.
Now the display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, scroll the arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
5.Press and release the “OK” button.
Now the display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
6. Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
7. Now Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
8. Turn the printer OFF using the power button and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
9. Wait for 30 seconds and then replug the power cable
10. Turn ON the printer and let it initialize itself. Then try printing a self test from the printer front panel by pressing the SETUP-->Print Report--->Self Test Report.
This should get it working again.

Won't print after loading new cartridge.


Did you install anything before it happened to your pinter?

If the printer won't get online (or ready), the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Make sure to use the post script driver (the CD that came with the printer).

If the CD won't work, use the generic driver for HP printers that are already pre-installed in your computer.

Ink system failure


Follow these steps:
Press and hold the “*” key. Press the “#” key and release both keys.

Display should say “Support” and display the FW rev (something like R0631R)
Mine reads R0631M

. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says “System Configuration Menu”.

Display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, Arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
Press and release the “OK” button.
Display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.

HP 1410 Printing Error


did you try scanning the test page after printing? this usually keeps the printer from reprinting the test page each time it is turned back on. Not sure about the paper jam.
