More likely your new cable is deffective or you not properly insert it in locks.

Touch screen won't work

Trying to remove the battery sometimes resets any issues. If it's not under warranty one can repair it with the use of micro precision screwdriver kit you can get at the dollar general for about 4 dollars. First I would disassemble it, and try reseating the flex cable that attaches the LCD screen to the main board. There is a plastic lock that holds the cable in, so make sure to lift that up before gently pulling the flex cable out. If pulling it out and putting it back in doesn't make a difference I would look at replacing the flex cable, and lastly the LCD panel. Because you didn't mention anything about cracks, water, or any other LCD damage, my opinion leans towards the flex cable shorting out.

Power buitton won;t work. I can't turn the phone on

There is a flex cable or contact mechanism inside the phone may have either water between there. You can try to remove it and see if there is water. Or you can take it to a service center to have that looked at. We do offer repair service at wireless image in denver.

My MOTORAZR v9m's phone's screen went blue and whenever I open it up it stays blue. The outside screen is fine, its just the inside. I read that it had something to do with the flex cable. Is that right?...

Hello, Yes there may be a problem with the flex cable of the LCD, if you know how to open your phone try changing and replacing new flex cable. but be careul not to damage the flex cable, but if you are not familiar in opening the phone let the technician do that or you, Go to Motorola service center.

your screen dosnt display anything?I am not quite sure what your asking but ill take a crack at it changed the housing and when you put the phone back together the lcd stoped working,if this is the case you either disconnected your lcd or you damaged the flex cable to the lcd, either way you need to open your phone back up just the top part where the lcd is,you should beable to see the flex cable coming from the phone to the lcd if it looks connected disconect and reconnect and try it if this does not work you may need a new flex cable wich means that you may have to get a whole new keypad cause the flex cable usually only disconnects from one side, well good luck
