Good day, mckernannick;
To reset the TV first try unplugging for 2-3 minutes from wall. If that does not work try going into the service menu. Turn TV off, on remote push mute 182 power. You should see srv menu open options by flowing OSD directions. Make sure to note previous settings before making any adjustments. BE CAREFUL!!
Good luck, big IRISH.

Try a reset. Start by unplugging for 1 minute, then plug back in & if still won't restart try the following. If none of the following work, you will need a technician.

How do I reset the metter for a new lamp?

According to the lamp manual you just need to power the set on with the remote and then press (and hold) the Vol - button on the front of the set, While holding the Vol- button on the front of the set press and hold the PIP button on the remote. HOLD both for more than 5 seconds or until the lamp timer has been reset to 0 appears on the screen.

When i hook my comcast box up to my samsung hln467w tv the picture is blue with flashes of green and fuzz

Hi,
First of all what output/input are you using for video for the comcast box? Have you tried using a different output? When you connect a dvd player or a different source does it work? First thing is to figure out if its a problem with the tv or a problem with the box. If the tv works fine then you have to figure out the problem with the box or the connection between the two. once I have more information I can assist you further.
Thank you,
lee

Hi, I have new Samsung LCD TV LE37S8. I'm trying to set a picture to a movie mode, but it keeps changing to a dynamic mode after 15 minutes. How can I save my settings? Is it possible that is something...

if it's still in warranty, call 1-800-samsung and report it, other wise you need a main board or there could be a firmware upgrade on samsung web site that could fix it

With power on, press Mute-1-8-3. That will get you into convergence mode. 1 sets factory default convergence. Avoid pressing 2 - it resets everything. 3 restores the last saved settings, 4 switches among fine adjust, line adjust and grid move. 7,8,9 - select R,G,B. The three keys below those turn RBG on/off.

Self-focus to save the settings. S-Mode to exit.

It can be a REAL headache, but take your time, and you'll get it done.

As an after thought....if you have a need to manually adjust the convergence, you probably have something wrong - unless you've just replaced parts and are doing the initial convergence.

The settings on my samsung tv keep reseting them selfs its a LE37 R87 / R88 BDX/XEU

i have read about this problem when searching for tv reviews. The problem i believe is the tv is in shop mode. This is whats used for tvs being shown in store which can be played with so the settings reset every day. You need to go into the settings and change from shop to home. Not sure where you change this but it comes up on initial setup. Hope this helps.

Issues with replacing Ballast

The flash code indicates that the lamp cover is not installed correctly. There are safety switches built into the housing that require the cover be installed correctly for the set to work. If the cover is actually in place correctly, there may be a broken switch. Check for this and update this if you can not resolve the problem.

I change the settings on my samsung 71 series, and as soon as I turn off the tv the settings return to the way they were in the store. What am I doing wrong? why does it not save my changes?

After you have changed the settings, you must go to "user reset" push "enter" two more times, then power off your TV. When you turn your TV back on your setting should be saved.
