It's probably just a re-branded Randall. Maybe contact them. I don't think Washburn has put one out since 92'. Again best guess

My Washburn SX65C is not working

check the grounding resistors, 300-470ohm 5 watt, big ones. they may need to be resoldered to the board, they get hot and break solder we;ds as they cool.

Washburn amp no power

Hiya, check the obvious first, fuse, power cable, power switch make sure they OK.

If problems not there, then is probably main board power supply/transformer but i'm sure you can find someone in the area with electronic experience (start with the transformer). Nice thing about old gear is that the electronics was always pretty much the same and simple.

Hope that helps

I have not played my electric guitar for months now there is no sound coming through the amp, the amp works ok

probably have active pickups on the guitar.
if there's a plate on the back, get a small phillips screwdriver, take the plate off, and put a new 9 volt battery in.

PG won't release schematic diagrams. Are the burned components resistors? If so, what are their circuit board designations (Rxyz)?

I need phoenix gold 600.2 ti elite schematics for repair

PG doesn't release schematics but they may provide the value of the resistors. If they won't, he can probably use the other channel to get the values. If that won't work, let me know which resistors are burned and I'll see if I can find the information.

Tell him to email me directly to save some time.

Power but no sound

There is a long list of things that can go wrong.
maybe you have played so hard, that the amp is broken.
so.. you can measure on the printboard, and see if you have the right voltage.
but you need the scematics.
Or maybe the soundspeaker is broken..

Problem with pickup on guitar washburn d46

Hello woizo,

The windings of the pickup might be bad. Basically these are magnetic pickups that take the string vibrations and by using transducers converts the vibrations into electrical energy and the by using preamplifier's and finally a main amplifier it takes the electrical energy and then turns it into sound. It sounds like in your case the pickups need to be repaired or replaced.

Now I would check the amplifier first and the run a test on the output of the guitar to make sure the potentiometers (volume, tone, etc) are ok. If these are ok then I would really suspect the pickups.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
