If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)

Sound only in some channels and no sound in others. How do I fix that?

Check your audio setting that you don't have SAP or other special digital or sound services turned on. The channel will be silent if it doesn't use those features. Set your audio setting to just normal, & deselect/disable any digital special audio.
tip

No Audio/Sound

The computer is in amuted state
There are a few ways this can be fixed; one is to press the mute buttonon your keyboard if there is one. The other way is to go onto control panel, select "hardware and sound" then select sound, click your chosenaudio device , chose properties then chose the "levels" tab and makesure the audio output is not in a muted state if so click the speaker button toturn it off mute.

The headphones or specks are not connected to the pc or have become unattached
Make sure the headphones/specks lead is plugged into the correct portwhether being a USB port or audio port depending on the device. This may be inthe back/front of a computer, the monitor, keyboard or external audio adapter.

Update audio driver

Your audio device may need a driver update, the updates can normally befound
On manufacture websites (Look at this page for more details http://www.fixya.com/support/r9159178-drivers

Try different speakers

Try different speaker/headphones to see if your speakers are broke.

Check the sound driver is installed

Go to control panel and find device manger this is normally under thesystems area. Click on "sound, video and game controllers" tab, ifthe audio hardware device is there, then you know the computer is aware of theaudio hardware driver however if it has a yellow mark next to the device,
This would indicate that the computer is aware of the driver however it doesnot have the correct drivers for it to work. This is where you are required to lookfor drivers sometime off a website or a CD http://www.fixya.com/support/r9159178-drivers

The audio jack green piece broke off in the green audio jack in the back of the computer. i have other audio jacks but am not receiving any sound what should i do really need sound

Hello,

Depending on your Sound Card in your computer and depending on your driver you've installed you could configure that audio-output (normally green jack) is changed to the Blue jack.

You could try to change the audio config from 'Stereo' to 4.1 or 5.1.

The speakers sound like an echo and you can't understand what is being said with everything being distorted. The monitor has not been in use for a few months and everything else is working properly, but I...

Have you checked the sound with some other speakers or a headphones.

If the sound is still like echo try adjusting audio settings not thru My Computer - audio, but try finding a software that comes with *********** board/sound card. I suppose the sound is some AC97/Realtek compatible card, so you should looking in your program files under Realtek into WDM and run the Audio Control Panel or Sound Manager (whatever you find). Adjust the sound effects to NONE and use some normal enviroment (other then echo/cave/big hall).

I have no more Audio Signal. The power supply was broken and I changed it. The keyboard behaves normal now; the display is working but if I connect it to my eqipment there is no sound (ok, there is really,...

i would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the software for this device. Usually, install drivers first, hardware after wards. Settings might have been lost when the power supply quit on you. Good luck.

Sound

It is due to setting of Audio options in 5.1 and having only 2 speakers for stereo. For enabling conversion select "stereo" option from Memu under sub category "Audio"
