Saeco Incanto not grinding

By cdleighton on Jul 19, 2008

" "
My Saeco Incanto, Type SUP 021YDR, started making very short coffees a few days ago. Today it has stopped grinding the beans - like when I  press the button to use pre-ground coffee.
It has also started leaking and hissing after making hot milk.
I want my coffee machine back ;( - Chris

- Descale... not as often as I should. I did it again this week, it made just two coffees after that :(
Machine is 4 years old.
The grinder does not start at all.

Hi Chris,

The leaking is your steam valve that has to be replaced, you can see this if you open the door and look up in the right corner there you will see water drip.

If not then you have a pipe or boiler leak.

How old is your machine?
How often do you descale the machine?

When you try to make a cup of coffee, starts the grinder for two seconds or is it dead?

Hope this will help you.

- Hi,

Ok, i recommende my customer to descale their machine one time every two month just to make sure the calcium not broke down the boiler.

Are there any lamp that is lighting on your machine?

If so, open your steam knob and try to make a full cup of water, if you only get a half cup of water then you have to replace you water turbine in the machine. Can you get a full cup of water then your machine shuold get in ready mode.
