On e-bay there is one. just type in the m# of the tv and you will find one for about $50.00 (magnavox ballast) in the search window will work also. I need the power supply for this set, so if you happen to find one can you email me at sean.kimt@sbcglobal.net thank you and hope I could help.

First check the lamp, if not then maybe one of the fans is running poorly. Make sure it is plugged in.

It sounds like you have a bad color wheel. If you are handy with electronics, it is a pretty simple fix. If not, I would suggest you take your set to a qualified service center.

Replaced lamp in magnavox 50ML8105D/17 and now I only get sound for about 10 seconds with no picture then the tv shuts off

I would double check the install of the Lamp and also make sure the Lamp door is closed tightly and secure.
I hope this helps,

You need a new bulb replacement. The owner manual will even instruct you how to change the bulb.

MY TV WONT STAY ON

Have you replaced the lamp before? If not I recommend you do it first :) and if you already replaced it, there's a possibility that your ballast might be defective.

No picture and i replaced the bulb

Joe,
I've never heard of a color wheel costing that much even with labor included - I think I'd try to find another tech for his advice.. If you have trouble locating one try NESDA or let me know what city/state you're in and maybe I can help recommend someone.
That said, if the lamp is good the next logical thing to check is the ballast. If the ballast is not supplying voltage to the lamp then it clearly won't light. A ballast is not that expensive, similar to a ballast in a floresent light - only a bit more complex. In any event I would strongly suggest finding a real professional first we are out there...

Try cleaning the air filter and see if that solves the problem.
