Most disk drives have a tiny hole below the tray. I straightened paper clip pushed carefully into that hole should unlock the tray and push it forward slightly. Once unlocked, it is OK to GENTLY pull it the rest of the way out. The disc can then be removed.

Is there a way to get the disc out without dismantling the entire TV? Disc is stuck, lock icon shows when eject button is pressed. Can TV be reset to factory specs?

Try the following. kindly update result here in comments

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

Tried to record on a DVD-R disc, but unit said that the disc was full. I then tried to finalize the disc, but the unit got stuck in the finalization process. I unplugged/replugged the unit to make it...

The most likely reason the unit got 'stuck during finalisation' is probably because there was insufficent space left on the disc for it to write the respective lead-out/menu data (or perhaps there was a bad disc sector) - disc full? Because you unplugged the unit from power point before it had finished, the disc is possibly corrupted now. Throw that disc out.

The manual clearly warns: Do not disconnect the AC power supply cord while finalising. This
can render the disc unusable.

In other words, you have lost that particular recording and you are wasting your time with that disc.

There is nothing in the manual to suggest the length of time required for DVD-R recovery - there is a recovery process for the whole unit (such as after a power cut while recording a timer program for example) but not for discs. I may be wrong here...

However, the upshot is you have lost a disc, not a recorder. Another drink coaster for your living room.

I have a sony dvd player that has a stuck disc. Model number DAV-HDX275. The readout has a message "C31 00" displayed. Do you have any suggestions to remove the disk?

The only way to get this to eject is to open the case, Look carefully at the mechanism. Press eject and see what opart tries to unlock and assit it. The tray will then eject. It may be stuck because a piece iof the label is jamming the mechanism.

My NAD cd/dvd T550 displays NO DISC.

I have the same problem. When I insert a disk, my NAD T 550 DVD player displays 'No Disc'. It started with new disks while still reading older disks, but at some time it stopped recognizing any disk. Did you receive any suggestion yet or has anyone a suggestion?

Wont recognized disc

I got it work work with mine. Here's how: I removed the top cover and put in a disk to see what happens. I realized it had to be a motor problem because the dvd player was having trouble spinning the disk. I removed the part that had the motor and sprayed some air into it to clean it. It works perfectly now!!

Stuck disc drawer rca model drc8312n

If there is a tiny pin hole in the front a straightened paper clip does wonders. Simply insert to release the drawer. At least that's how it works on computers ;)
